You’re probably Castlevania’d out but trying different paths would be awesome or just doing it with the help of one of the other characters would be cool. Congratulations anyway, I would use the “help me” code when I attempted this loop, you did it legit.

Amazing feat Mike! BTW, nothing changes after loop 2, I used to play this game when I was 11 all the time and completed 5 loops in a row just to see if anything changed after loop 2. And it doesn't.

I did the same thing with "Castlevania" a few years ago, and that game seemed to remain at loop 2 difficulty after I had beaten that loop. It also stopped counting the "Stages" after it got to Stage 99.

I have always liked when games loop like this; it feels like a very natural increase in difficulty when the game deals more damage and adds more enemies and things like that, and it definitely adds replay value.

Just like how you were able to do 6 loops of contra (once you really got down your formula). I was able to do that, and do about 4 completed loops of Castlevania 1 (for the same reason). Loop 2 of castlevania 1, has a similar concept as your seeing in both contra and castlevania 3. But Castlevania 3 is just SO hard, that beating it on the first loop is already so punishing. Especially the last two bosses, and the tall tower in alcuard path, and the one water way. So that 2nd loop of Castlevania 3 is just crazy brutal. You didn't comment on it though, but I noticed on some parts of the levels starting already in level 1, the background is actually different for the 2nd loop here. Once you got that midway point on the first level. So that's even extra new detail to appreciate loop 2.

The problem with our hard mode is that not only is it harder but the developers looked at it as a bonus mode. The real ending is only shown to the player upon beating it but they put random skull segments in our game that make you do crazy things like go ridiculous amounts of time with the stop watch or use alucard to transform and de transform through them or you can press your luck with the cross like Mike did.

One really fun challenge on the NES is to try beating "Gun Nac" on the highest difficulty with Ricochet Bullets activated; those settings make every single stage _EXTREMELY_ difficult, and it actually still feels like a very fair challenge, since it is mostly about reaction time and wise use of weapons.

I still have soo many Castlevania games I need to finish beating....most of them are on my Switch. I fell in love with the Castlevania Advance games that I played for the 1st time last year, I've beating all them except Circle Of Moon, but I still have Simon's Quest, Castlevania III, Castlevania IV, Kid Dracula and Dracula X, and Bloodlines. And then upstairs on my Ps3 I still need to finish "Symphony Of The Night" I'm like at the beginning of the upside castle, and lastly I still need to finish Castlevania Chronicles!! Oh yea and the gameboy games too lol
@alexh27902 жыл бұрын
Belmont's Revenge on gameboy is very good; however, the ones on either side of it are a sharp decline in quality. Adventure is a slog (although I kind of enjoy it) and Legends feels like it was a complete afterthought (pedestrian level design, ugly spritework, music nowhere near as good as the previous game). I would either skip the other 2 and play Belmont's Revenge or play them in order of Adventure, Legend, then Belmont's Revenge.
