Well Thanks for your pleasant comment. I as a dual national English/German was once a translator in the German Bundeswehr and actually translated an S.A. for all foreign forces and the subject was the British Armed Forces Regimental System. Especially the American Liason Officer was interested in the origins and system from the top brass down to the freshly recruited soldier to be. It is this system that allows our forces to be top professional ànd unlike any other armed force in the world. The Commonwealth forces all contribute to our 100% dedicated and proud forces. I couldn’t agree more. I usually watch trooping the colours every year and the Kings birthday celebrations on the regular, and you can usually see some faults here and there or the men not being properly in alignment. This can be really annoying when your parents might be a veteran, and they can clearly see the differences and you yourself notice them. Thankfully, for the coronation, none of this was present. Everybody did their duty perfectly from beginning to end, and all of the roles were done to the very best of their abilities. It was spectacular to witness, and they have done our country, proud as well as all of the other members of the Commonwealth and all who participated. We cannot thank them enough.I can only imagine what it must’ve been like for Queen Elizabeth the second‘s coronation when there was more than double the amount of troops taking part. Obviously we have footage of this, but it’s hard to compare with HD/4K colour footage we have now.

@@yvonneplant9434 During the 17th century, French replaced Latin as the most important language of diplomacy and international relations (lingua franca). It retained this role until approximately the middle of the 20th century, when it was replaced by English as the United States became the dominant global power following the Second World War. Garbage , complete drivel By the late 18th century, the British Empire had spread English through its colonies and geopolitical dominance. Commerce, science and technology, diplomacy, art, and formal education all contributed to English becoming the first truly global language. English also facilitated worldwide international communication. England continued to form new colonies, and these later developed their own norms for speech and writing. Today, English was adopted in parts of North America, parts of Africa, Australasia, and many other regions Oh and nobody likes the "metric" system , except the French

To watch this made me cry, to watch this as we Germans possess none of it. No pride for our country or traditions, our traditions destroyed, that makes me feel so uprooted. So touched to see all these beautiful uniforms, full of meaning, a real art and legacy, the culture, the preserverance of the tradition. Dont let the woke modern world take this away from you. I so love the british culture.

Bravo to all our armed forces but a special one to the Royal Navy, very dear to my heart. My Dad was in the Royal Navy. What a wonderful day, and every man and woman out there did us proud.

I've just smiled and smiled and smiled, while covered in goose bumps and Oooooozing pride. I'm not a military person ( although have worked 34yrs in the NHS, hahaha 🤣, !!!!!) But any sane, grateful and honest person must only be able to shout from the inside out..... " Thank you, thank you all, for putting yourself on the line for us..." As with many others, we really do absolutely nail Pomp. Bravo 👏 Oooozing pride ❤❤

This was great to see. I was a military brat and got to see military bands in the 70s and 80s in Germany and Gibraltar quite a bit and loved them, especially when they came to the school playground. Now as an adult and a musician, it's just bloody impressive. They must be knackered! Thanks for sharing this.
