By the end of our time playing he told me if elden ring has not come out he would of had nothing to live for, turns out he was going through an incredibly tough time and when Elden ring was released it gave him something to take his mind off it. I'm in the same boat as you Act Man! Without video games, I would not have the friendships and connections I have today. In fact, I am having a large, in-person gathering with 9 or 10 of my Overwatch friends soon, and I COULD NOT be more excited to see them (and in the case of a few, meet for the very first time.) Online relationships can be 100% authentic and video games are an amazing catalyst.

Video games inspired me to learn about things I never would have thought of. I started playing games in the arcades then with a Commodore VIC 20 and an Atari 2600 (showing my age now). When my dad and I built our first PC (with an Intel 486 processor) I became obsessed with computers and how they worked. I eventually got a degree in electronic engineering and have a great job now. If it hadn't been for games and computers, who knows where I would be.

Banjo-Tooie! Dang I love that game. I knew there was a deep down reason why I subscribed, a fellow frequentare of the Banjo Kazooie series is a friend indeed. By the way I actually have both of them physically and on one of my flashcarts, I'm trying to see if there's some way to either unlock certain things in Banjo Kazooie or if there's a way through Banjo-Tooie to unlock certain things from part 1 (like that one hidden item that was behind that one waterfall that was basically inaccessible in the first game). I'm actually starting to feel a little bit sad for the guy that made the video to begin with, he spent so much time doggin' anime & video games that I'm honestly feeling like he didn't have the proper chance to enjoy them and really absorb them / understand them, much less making connections with other people through playing them together. I still remember playing Duke Nukem 64 with a few of my friends, one of them got a lucky shot when he use the jetpack and jumped up in the air and fired a rocket at me, I press the start button and paused it right before the rocket hit; I just looked over at him with a smirk on my face saying "you m***********! 🤣" while we were ALL laughing cause of the way it looked on 4 split screens.
