I used to think this too, but now I believe it might be true. With how online the young generation is I think this could possibly be closer to the truth then many of us video game defenders like myself would like to admit. Hell cuckerberg is openly trying to get everyone hooked on the meta verse and blurring the lines even more. I also think the “cool” I’m not your parent I’m your friend shit isn’t helping with not creating boundaries. Nor is parents and “doctors” eagerly accepting and pushing the use of “happy drugs” to get those kids sedated helping this , it’s maybe the biggest issue .. and do people playing along with this gender is fluid Bullshit good for society. Why is hard to believe that kids are having trouble putting video games in proper perspective when adults are telling them they can be any sex ,hell it’s getting to any species at this time. You can be a cat and everyone is supposed to play along or you are a bigot. Hell you are probably one of these people that thinks it’s cool. I hope not because that’s anti science and anti reality . So if you are pushing this anti reality why do you think ths is so far fetched? These games are getting closer to reality then ever and it’s a hell of a lot closer to reality then saying you can just swap sexes or species and actually become the opposite sex. These people have tricked people like you into playing along with their delusions. So more then ever the dangers. Of video game being played out in the real world is poignant

The person calling out the persona 5 soundtrack was trying to take a stand against some vague nondescript injustices, but instead ended up being accidentally racist. Messed up part is a quick google search would have shown them the lyrics and also that Lyn Inaizumi is Japanese. Plus Lyn is an incredible singer, her accent gives her style a lot of charm.

Omg absolutely... I literally had this exact argument as to why I'm finishing school early. I LOVE learning, right? However in gradeschool I taught myself everything that high school is supposed to teach you. High school wouldn't let me take more advanced courses because I "didn't have credits" for the simple classes. I ended up so bored and disinterested in the classes I was in that I was literally failing every one. I was put in the more private online "make up work" classes where the first thing they do is have you take GED pre-tests to see what skills you have and which ones you need to work on in order to meet standards. I aced them.. They just let me sit there now because they know I already know all the classes they were going to make me take. As soon as I'm allowed to by the district, I'll be testing out of school and getting my diploma early. Then I'll be able to work full time and save up money to move out of this horrid country... (y'know.. somewhere that it doesn't cost tens of thousands of dollars every year for lifesaving medicine)

"Video games are always bad" is a bad take. "If I spend all my time playing video games" is also a bad take. Good take: Video games are fine in moderation, but you should also make sure you are acting in a way that is good for your future. Just because you want to do something or you like it a lot doesn't mean it is actually what you want. My grandfather liked smoking. That is, until he got lung cancer and died at 60, leaving behind small grandchildren that loved him. Obviously video games aren't going to kill you, but every minute you spend gaming is a minute you could've spent doing something that will make you happier in the future than the games will now. Play some video games. Also do other stuff.

@Christov S L Toreh What makes that interview even dumber is that both the woman, Cooper Lawrence (and Fox News) somehow thought Mass Effect, this "Rated M For Mature Audiences" game, was aimed at children (or more specifically young boys). They thought an M-rated game that was originally released on XBox 360 (A console that at the time was widely considered the "video game console for adults," and has games such Halo 3, Dead Rising, the Dead or Alive series, and the Gears Of War trilogy) and dealt with themes, such as war, bigotry, and genocide. . .was made for little boys. Furthermore, I'm very glad Geoff Keighley pointed out you could play as a FEMALE Shepard in the game, considering there are some people that either somehow don't know that detail (TED Talk) or consider games that let you pick your character's gender to "not count" as games where "diversity matters" (Anita Sarkeesian). I also find it eye-rolling when Cooper says, ". . .They don’t show women as being valued for anything other than their sexuality. . .," when all your teammates in the game including the female ones are shown to be three dimensional characters that are also great fighters (For example, Liara T'Soni is a scientist that's also a powerful biotic). For crying out loud, one of the most beloved characters in the series is Tali'Zorah, who is a female machinist that spends her whole time in an environmental suit with a one-way visor and is quite skilled with a shotgun. To top it all off, some time afterwards, Cooper later admitted, “Before the show I had asked somebody about what they had heard, and they had said it’s like pornography, but it’s not like pornography. I’ve seen episodes of ‘Lost’ that are more sexually explicit.” In other words, Cooper Lawrence did as much research on Mass Effect as Jack Thompson/Anita Sarkeesian did on Bayonetta (But hey, at least Cooper Lawrence eventually took an actual look at the game). Speaking of which, Jack Thompson himself, called out Fox News for this gaffe. Yes, even Jack knew how stupid this whole thing was. You don't have to like a certain video game, but if you're gonna HATE it, then please have an actual reason for doing so. Also. . .PLEASE READ THE ESRB LABEL BEFORE YOU BUY A GAME FOR YOUR CHILD. If you have time to write letters, protest against video game companies, and go on TV to complain about how M-rated games aren't family-friendly, then you have time to both check to make sure that sideways letter E on the cover isn't actually the letter M, and listen to the clerk telling you that the game isn't for children.

I've always taken hot takes and tried to guess what "trauma" the writer never truly emotionally dealt with that is causing them to write that article. Normally I usually think it's something small and petty, like Anita Sarkesian (or however you spell it) wrote her heart out on a writing assignment but a boy in her class got a better grade when he clearly phoned the assignment in. As I get older I agree with Rogan's take more and more. I still love video games, but when I was younger the level of obsession my friends and I had with the hobby was not healthy. Don't get sucked in too much. Allot time to relationships and other hobbies that contribute to your growth into a more well rounded individual.
