One of my favorite snacks right now is sweet tahini spread. You make it by mixing tahini with some liquid sweetener until it comes out nice and creamy and then you can just spread it on whatever you want! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SNACK EVER! here’s a single serving chocolate cookie recipe for y’all : ~ blend 3 heaping spoons of oats into a powder consistency add in baking powder around 1/2 a teaspoon ~ add in some milk (you can use any kind of vegan milk if you’re a vegan) (a little bit) ~ add in peanut or almond butter (any nut butter preferably peanut ) ~ add in some honey or maple syrup to taste ~ mix it together until it comes together and knead for one minute with your hands ~ divide the mixture into 2 halves and add cocoa to the first half ~ marble them together ~ add in some chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (add A LOT) ~flatten it and bake in oven or microwave until it’s risen and slightly browner! This is an original recipe! Enjoy ♥️ Danke!

Yummy looking snacks. A few I definitely want to try. My idea is air popped popcorn. In a spray bottle put some dill pickle juice or the marinade or oil from artichokes, sun dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers. Lightly spritz your popcorn then toss with some nutritional yeast, pepper, salt and any other seasonings you like. With the oil from sun-dried tomatoes I like to add nutritional yeast, oregano, garlic powder and a couple of the sun-dried tomatoes chopped up for a bit of a pizza popcorn. I also love stuffed dates. Peanut butter and a few raw cacao nibs or tahini and dark chocolate chips or a little melted chocolate and some berries of choice (fresh, frozen or in a chia jam)

I would recommend you another recipe that grandma often makes for me- All we need is some mint leaves, any type of sugar and water..just crush the mint leaves lightly so you get it's brownish colour..? oh yes and then take a bowl and add 3 tablespoon sugar and lil amount of cold water and let the sugar crystals meld in the water..now you can separate out the mint water and add that to your glass with ice and then add the sugar dissolved water into it.. and i swear it is THE BEST summer drink I hever had in my life :)

I love myself a cold (ice) coffee/ latte macchiato as an afternoon snack: Prepare too much coffee for breakfast or use one that disolves. Fill a glass to a third with ice, and then to 2/3 with a vegan milk of choice. Add the cold coffe till it fills the glass and some flavouring agent like a syrup or flavour drops. I do like some vanilla drops - its classic and sweet. Best enjoyed through a reusable straw.

plantain chips: preheating the oven, cutting a green plantain into thinish slices, tossing those with some oil and salt until well coated, arange them on a lined bakeingsheet and bake them until crispy. it does not take long at all, but the best themperature and time really depends on your oven. They are tastey on their own, but if you got some left over guacamole or humus you can dip them there too. Feel free to try other spices like paprica, oregano, cumin or coriander too! Those are my favorit snack both because they are delicious, and because I almost can not eat any store bought ones cause of food intolerances . . .

Snack Ideas Toast with Almondbutter and topped with cinnamon and sliced banana Date pralinés blend soaked dates with almond and oatflour (add as much flour as you need to get a dough) now make little balls out of the dough. Melt your favourite dark chocolate (or any vegan chocolate) dip the balls into the chocolate you can also sprinkle a bit of salt on top of the balls. Put them in the fridge until the chocolate isn’t soft anymore. It is such a healthy and delicious snack and pretty easy to make. Ps. you can use different flour like blended hazelnuts or walnuts

There are a lot of vegan queso type recipes out there that I love (usually with cashew nuts). But lately, I found out that just stirring some nutritional yeast and a pinch of salt into vegan yogurt, makes for a pretty good quick & easy, lowest possible effort cheese dip/spread. You could add onion and/or garlic powder if you like those. I like to use it as a dip for vegetables, fries, etc or spread on bread/toast/wraps as a sandwich/wrap base sauce.

My favourite snack creation is like a yogurt pudding (?). It has evolved over the years but here goes (I have this almost every night for a snack). I don't measure anything so these are just estimates: 1.5-2 tbsp unsweetened coco powder .25 tsp ground ginger .25-.5 tsp ground cinnamon 3/4 cup vegan yogurt (I use a Canadian brand of coconut yogurt, but any vegan yogurt works) 1/2 banana chopped in quarters as many frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries) as you'd like top with your favourite cereals. I'm a fan of having at least 2 types of cereal in the bowl. Mix the first 3 ingredients until combined, then add the yogurt and mix with a spoon until pudding like texture, this can take a few minutes to remove all the clumps. Chop the banana and berries and add in, top with cereal and voila!

Ok so, this recipe might not be so easy (?) but it's soooooo good. It's actually a traditional south Indian dish called "idli". I really wanted to share it so here you go! Rinse 2 cups of regular rice & let it soak in water overnight. In another bowl, take half a cup of husked black gram with 1/4 th tsp of fenugreek seeds. Rinse it a few times & let it soak overnight too. The next day, grind them in batches to achieve a smooth batter. Mix both of them ,add salt according to taste and let this batter ferment overnight. After fermentation, the batter should be doubled in size. Now grease some bowls with oil and steam this batter for 12- 15 minutes or until done. Your delicious idlies are ready! 😋 Serve with Coconut chutney & a soup called Sambhar. You have to try it, it's healthy, vegan and oh- so delicious!
@kooby1223 жыл бұрын
yes! i'm indian and i love idli, but not as much as i love dosa.

i want to add that the fermentation time differs depending on the temperature, sometimes it can even take 48 hours during wintertime. also idli has semolina. its one of the main ingredients. soak it in water for 30 minutes after you've fermented the rice. and blend the gram with the rice to make a batter. stir the semolina into the batter. i've never steamed it in a regular bowl. you'll probably need a special idli plate with molds. you might be able to use a mini muffin pan, but i have no idea.

I have one: get some rice cakes and spread it with some vegan creamcheese (simply v or oatly (or or maybe even cremevega), sweetener if wanted) and on top of it some thinly sliced appels and cinnamon. Then bake it for some minutes and you have a little apple pie. You can also use a whole wheat wrap instead of the rice cake to get something that represents more of a "Flammkuchen" style. Also a second one for a bit more protein: high Protein bread (I can recommend the brand "goldähren" by aldi) toasted until crispy then on top some peanutbutter and raspberrys and maybe hempseeds for the fancyness and omegas.

Cook in a none-stick pan (works fine without oil) and the fluff is 🤌 *chefs kiss*
