You guys hit the nail on the head- the whole purpose of any physical activity is self-knowledge... people who work out and don’t engage in this kind of self-reflection are just wasting their time

One thing I've been recently doing I kinda got from George leeman's video where he says that people don't go to intensity. He asked them if they could have hit a weight/rep/set if their families lives depended on it and most would say yes in an instant. When I go for a pr, and I'm on Cory gregory's squat everyday, I ask myself if I had to squat that weight with my families lives on the line, and the answer is always yes, any doubts or ideas of failing just cease to exist.

On what AJ said about agression and lifting: i listen to Slayer like 90% of my training. To me it´s the one band that just is pure aggression and destruction. I also lift in a comercial gym usually, but when i have the chance to lift on my own or with friends i do much better, because we can screem, yell throw stuff etc.

this happens to way to many people. they say i hope i can get this as they are getting me to spot them and i just say go find somebody else to spot you because you arnt gonna get it and they always fail. because they lost the battle before they entered it.
