Does the creek need fish to sustain a mink population? I have a small stream with no minnows or fish will mink be there?

Do you have bodies of water close by that have fish?

There are fish in the river that feed the creek. Usually when beavers come in the summertime, the fish are usually channeled away until we can get rid of the dams.

It can happen but most likely would be traveling through, though they can eat gophers and such

Traping mink is messed up there very smart and friendly

I understand where you are coming from but they are also very unfriendly to poultry and other animals, they commonly do what is called "surplus killing" which is killing more than they eat because they can, I have been first hand witness to this, also much like Otters they can clear out a pond of fish as they are efficient killers
