Sad case for the 2nd shooting, the Officer killed in duty by all accounts joined to change the culture and was a great young man.. never got a chance to even react to the gunfire. The FD got there quicker than the cops, really sad the officer is just laying in the street by himself with no backup due to budget cuts/ people not wanting to work in this specific town.

All these officers performed tactical reloads at appropriate times, everyone was communicating effectively, all the officers were tactically advancing into the fight and covering each other, nobody got their feet stuck in concrete, they were using their eyes, their feet, their voices, and their radios. They only used deadly force when it was the only viable option under the circumstances, they gave the suspects every opportunity for the outcome to be something other than their death, once deadly force became necessary - they used that force until the threat was eliminated, once the primary threat was neutralized they immediately cleared the area for additional shooters and threats before immediately beginning life-saving efforts and getting medical assistance to the scene - for a department with a checkered history - I COULD NOT GRADE THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT HIGHER than the marks I'd give them for the response to these incidents

The officers made it out alive but definitely hurt bad. I’m kinda confused…the guy running was backed up into a fence…He obviously wasn’t going anywhere. Perhaps the police could have slowed down the situation?
