I have been using the ab wheel for well over 40 years. I recently bought two ab wheels that look like dumb bells. I use them to work my chest. Instead of your arms going in front, I go to the sides like doing inverted flies. I have become strong enough to do them from my feet. The wheel is one of the best pieces of equipment you could have and something you can take with you wherever you go. Start very slow at first. The wheel can create debilitating soreness in the beginning. I'm 82 and use the wheel about every 5 days.

Here’s the thing. kzbin.infoUgkxS7ex6L4sMqpaTn4LnBPyBmRQsSingL8y These are not meant to be stretched to 12ft or 14ft or whatever else where you’re a 6ft person, stepping in the band and trying to do standing shoulder presses. If they tear, (assuming they’re not defective) then you’re trying to stretch them way too far. For a full body stretch, bands should be like three feet long, doubled over. Don’t buy the bad press. A fully extended reverse fly is avoid as far as you should stretch these. If it’s too easy, use more than one band at a time.Not rocket science.

My husband just bought me one of these and I had to Google how to use it. You make it look incredibly easy but I can tell it takes a lot of power ( that I don’t have ) to do the full roll out like you do. P.S. your cat and his or her very nice cat door tried to steal the show from you 😅

@MinusTheGym5 жыл бұрын
Oscar Ho I personally did about 4 or 5 sets per session and about 3 sessions per week. My entire abdominal wall got sore for a day after using the ab wheel, so I needed at least 1 day off between sessions. As for reps... just as many as you can. It's more about working within your current range of motion (i.e. how close you can get to the ground with your rollout). But as a general rule of thumb, I find that if I'm doing more than 8 reps in a set, I'm ready to make the exercise harder.

Thanks for this! I suffer from chronic pain in my lower back and core strength is literally the difference to if I'll be able to play or lift my kids or not. Or even get dressed for work.I always loved working out and different sports but those days are gone now. Except for the gym. Of course I can't even do my favorite exercises anymore. Just a simple situp is impossible so I always look for alternatives. Saw one of these at the gym once. "Its a wheel with a stick" How hard can that be?, my mind whispered to my last functioning braincells. Good thing I already had finished my workout because as I'm pretty sure I broke some laws of physics inventing ways to inflict pain on the human body I swear I heard it laughing at me while I desperately tried to get the demon-wheel to kill me fast or let go of the tangled mess of agony on the floor. At last it showed mercy. But not until it had made sure that Quasimodo himself would avert his gaze in disgust had he seen me. Time for a re-match. Demon wheel.. But seriously. Thanks for the video.
