Abs will mostly be determined by body fat percentage. You can do all the ab exercises in the world and you still might never see your abs if you have a small layer of fat covering your stomach. Diet will have a bigger impact.

I have been using the ab wheel for well over 40 years. I recently bought two ab wheels that look like dumb bells. I use them to work my chest. Instead of your arms going in front, I go to the sides like doing inverted flies. I have become strong enough to do them from my feet. The wheel is one of the best pieces of equipment you could have and something you can take with you wherever you go. Start very slow at first. The wheel can create debilitating soreness in the beginning. I'm 82 and use the wheel about every 5 days.

Here’s the thing. kzbin.infoUgkxS7ex6L4sMqpaTn4LnBPyBmRQsSingL8y These are not meant to be stretched to 12ft or 14ft or whatever else where you’re a 6ft person, stepping in the band and trying to do standing shoulder presses. If they tear, (assuming they’re not defective) then you’re trying to stretch them way too far. For a full body stretch, bands should be like three feet long, doubled over. Don’t buy the bad press. A fully extended reverse fly is avoid as far as you should stretch these. If it’s too easy, use more than one band at a time. Not rocket science.

Oscar Ho I personally did about 4 or 5 sets per session and about 3 sessions per week. My entire abdominal wall got sore for a day after using the ab wheel, so I needed at least 1 day off between sessions. As for reps... just as many as you can. It's more about working within your current range of motion (i.e. how close you can get to the ground with your rollout). But as a general rule of thumb, I find that if I'm doing more than 8 reps in a set, I'm ready to make the exercise harder.

Thanks for this! I suffer from chronic pain in my lower back and core strength is literally the difference to if I'll be able to play or lift my kids or not. Or even get dressed for work.I always loved working out and different sports but those days are gone now. Except for the gym. Of course I can't even do my favorite exercises anymore. Just a simple situp is impossible so I always look for alternatives. Saw one of these at the gym once. "Its a wheel with a stick" How hard can that be?, my mind whispered to my last functioning braincells. Good thing I already had finished my workout because as I'm pretty sure I broke some laws of physics inventing ways to inflict pain on the human body I swear I heard it laughing at me while I desperately tried to get the demon-wheel to kill me fast or let go of the tangled mess of agony on the floor. At last it showed mercy. But not until it had made sure that Quasimodo himself would avert his gaze in disgust had he seen me. Time for a re-match. Demon wheel.. But seriously. Thanks for the video. I'm sure it will help me a lot!

Great video Thank you for making it,I've just bought a ab wheel. I tried to go all the way out like you and just couldn't pull myself back, nearly ended up going face first into the floor! My lats are my weakest musucle in my body along with my lower back, and I've struggled to strengthen them, one of my fitness goals is to be able to do pull ups, I'm female and I find them really hard. Can I ask how long did you train before you could go all the way to the floor as you did in the video? Thanks and please keep making your awesome vids!

Great video, is it suggested 3 sets of 10- or just listen 2 your body please?

Just listen to your body. View it like a practice instead of a pursuit. As you improve with the ab roller you’ll start tracking your reps closely and having targets, but in the beginning it’s good to just practice it and focus on form.

Glad I found your channel and I did sub. I’ve had an ab roller for a while now but never got around to using it. Will have to try it out. Was wondering when the cat would make an appearance.

I was using an ab wheel from a standing position. I would bend down, roll out, then back and then stand back up. I did this twice a week for the first week with no problems, but yesterday, I felt a sudden, sharp pain in the left side of my abdomen. I hope I didn't give myself a hernia.

Can’t do the latch stretch as well. Try to touch my heal with my but, I can’t go down that far wondering if I have to keep doing it daily to see improvement or if I might have to try other exercises for better results

Sagnik Chakraborty yes! I've used it quite a bit in my instagram videos but I want to make a YT video about it as well. It's a great method for lesrnimg skills and building up endurance. Thanks!
