@@IowanLawman nah even then, we can get seriously improved variants of the mirage like the 2000-5 or even early Rafales. I think the 2000 can be super competitive against pretty much anything, especially if the later variants get 6 magic 2s or MICAs (phoenixes, but with magic 2 performance)

when it comes to that fight between the Greek Mirage and the Turkish F-16, i've heard that they were engaged in a virtual dogfight (meaning they acted as if the fight was real but with the weapons turned off) which is how they 2 sides usually end their disputes over airspace and territorial water control, but in this case the Mirage's master arm switch was on by accident and when the pilot pulled the trigger to confirm his win he ended up putting several 30mm shells on the Turkish plane. since it was a gun kill and the Turkish plane ended up in the bottom of the sea, there was no real way to prove or disprove anything (unlike a missile launch that would have been detected by radars) so each had their version of the story and left it at that.

Just to add a little bit of info in the 1996 incident the Mirage 2000 didnt had its second magic 2 missile when it came back to base and and it got a shot down sticker in the left side of the cockpit but the government put pressure on the air force and they took it so they tensions to go down and not starting a war also one of the two Turkish f16 pilots died and never ejected and the one that ejected was arrested but was given up back to Turkey

The plane has a vertical ACM mode if you switch the mode during ACM mode; it has 3 ACM modes. also dont use TWS when using IR missiles

Then there's me, still grinding out my ground ordnance modifications in the F-104S ASA, which is an 11.3 Starfighter despite only having four missiles which are apparently balanced at 9.7, and still miss randomly regardless of their "fix." Tornado IDS could give Italy and Germany an actual top-tier option, Gaijin. Tornado ADV could give Italy and Britain an even better one. But no, keep adding single planes which break top-tier because they're at the same BR as shit like the ASA.

I wonder if the landing chute thing isn’t a bug… I know today the chute only deployed manually and I didn’t see something about it in the patch note so I assume it’s a bug… also countermeasures are weird and deploy flare and chaff one at a time instead of simultaneously somehow

This is a bit weird. First, it's true that the Eclair countermeasure add-on pod removes the drag chute. However, the 2000C should have a small amount of flares (6 or 12 pairs, not sure right now) even without the pod. The Eclair was only added because in operations it turned out the amount of flares was too low (it has enough chaff) against insurgent MANPADS. So, realistically we should be given a choice between small amount of flares and a drag chute, or no chute and a lot of flares.

u can only escape a 530D by notching or by luck, and as the PD radar is only HDN u can notch or just go away the missile wont hit u because even in only ACM mod le 530D will make a u turn if the target is going away from the mirage

As prem the jet are not realy great for grinding as you have 2 planes without any couter mesures and more for CAS I would tips to use the AD4 at first for the low ranks and used the some GE for a talisman on the Jaguar

Could be wrong, but i think Mirage IIIs had 2+1, never 2+2. Atlas Cheetah or Kfir maybe, but regular mirages, i don't think so. Isn't it just an implementation of custom loadouts ? Tried to make one ? I think i got the same issue with the KA 52.

@@HighRiskV Short answer - no. With two roughly equally good pilots, the Mirage 2000 has no real chance of winning a dogfight against an F-14, MiG-23MLD/MLA or J-7E. The Mirage is more comparable to the Viggen or the MiG-21bis in this regard, so quite good but not outstanding in dogfights. It maintains speed better than most other delta wings, but pays for it with worse turning capabilities. The Mirage just can't pull those hard high-G turns like for example a F-14 or a J-7E can, which both currently easily beats the Mirage in one and two circle fights.

So I haven't touched air rb since the tomcat came, had just managed to get to the 10.7 range at that stage and getting constantly murdered by an f-14 that I could do practically nothing against was not fun, I'd like to ask if the mirage also at 11.3 makes the situation even worse or have things eased out since then?

It's also at 11.3... F14, MLD, MLA and M2000 should be 11.5 imo. A lot of 10.3 doesn't even have countermeasures
