Getting paid multiple ways FROM THE SAME COMPANY is really just getting paid one way. That's like me saying that I work at Old Navy and get paid 4 ways: #1 I get paid for ringing up customers, #2 I get paid for folding clothes, #3 I get paid for helping customer find their size and #4 I get paid for existing inside the store.

I'm completely convinced that a lot of people who love Monat's products have genuinely never used decent quality products before. Monat uses a bunch of ingredients that coat the hair to sort of varnish over damage. It's the equivalent of Matilda's dad putting sawdust in the radiator. It will trick someone who doesn't know better until the "risk free" period is up and they're already in too deep. After that they'll be susceptible to the "detoxing" myth to keep them on the hook as long as possible
@-barulf97563 жыл бұрын
So, I'm a long haired guy (we talk about lower back length here), and those Monat reps piss me off haha. Most things about hair (sadly) are genetics, and whilst I agree that some products work better then others, hair issues are a multifaceted problem. F. e.: I live in a part of Germany that has notorious hard water - it damages every kettle, everything basically is COVERED in a layer of limestone if you don't pour vinegar concentrate over it like, every week. Hard water makes hair less shiny and just kinda weird. Filters won't really work (at least for me), bc it's just that bad. I know people who counteract that with rinses and whatnot or they use shampoo specifically to get rid of that problem. I don't. Yet, my hair still looks good, it's really thick for straight hair, long, somewhat shiny - and people keep asking me how I "do that". Well. It's partially due to taking care of it, not washing it every day, and using gentle products that don't make it worse (though I tried a lot of products and usually they don't do a lot, neither in a positive nor negative way). Truth is: Good hair just runs in my family. My mum has good hair, my father has exceptionally good hair, all of my grandparents had good hair - male pattern hairloss & balding don't run in either side of my family. I got lucky with the gene pool. Monat - and any other brand - won't give people hair like that, if it's not in the genetic cards for them. I'd rather have people hydrate, eat well, eliminate/reduce stress and maybe check for hard water. And then consult a doctor, not your local Monat hun. Anywayss, great video!

4:26 So this is how the Infomercials worked in the 90s. Something would be $19.99 and you would have to pay $9.99 shipping and handling. They always said, "IF YOU'RE NOT 100% SATISFIED JUST RETURN THE UNUSED PORTION FOR A FULL REFUND... minus shipping and handling". So you would get something, find out it didn't work, and then you'd have to package it up, take it to a mail place, pay maybe $5 -10 to ship it back. Most people would see that as more of a hassle than it's worth to get your $19.99 back so they would just toss that item in a drawer and forget about it.

I got roped into using Monat for a few days (sent that story to the email lol) day one my hair was heavy and I usually get greasy on about day 3 after a wash but I was greasy within a couple hours of washing.... the person assured me I did it wrong and she had me watch a tutorial on how to use it..... again.... greasy on the same day I washed my hair. So yeah I had no frizz.... because it was so greasy the frizz was weighed down against my head. 😅 after days she assured me I must have the "wrong type for me" the replacement was exactly the same. Didn't notice a single difference in the "right one" thankfully I didn't lose any money and I hated it so much immidiately that it didn't have time to make my hair fall out... also I have SEVERE dry scalp. To be fair most shampoos make my scalp itchy and dry... but Monat made it SO BAD that right after the shower I was itching when I usually get a few hours of relief after washing..... I have no idea how a single product could make my hair so greasy and oily.... but make my scalp so itchy and dry at the exact same time....

My sister in law along time ago I believe was a Monat rep so my husband and I gave the vip program a try. Eventually my sister in law left the company. After this we decided that we didn’t want to be signed up for the vip program anymore because we didn’t see a lot of difference hair product wise. We didn’t want to pay that much for hair products every 60 days anymore especially since the person who signed us up wasn’t with the company anymore. They didn’t give her much information and told her that since she wasn’t with the company anymore she’s not allowed to cancel us anymore. We spent a year on the phone with customer service and FINALLY were able to cancel my husband’s HOWEVER they told me that I couldn’t cancel mine because of some bull shit reason. ( I don’t really remember because it was atleast 2 years ago and after a car accident 8 months ago I have some memory issues I’m dealing with. A month ago I was finally able to get out of it. I believe we signed up under her in 2017. Thankfully I get emails that remind me. I’ve forgotten a few I’m pretty sure my debit card on their file is no longer valid but I couldn’t believe how shady they seemed not allowing someone to cancel what they are signed up for. I really wish I could remember what customer service had said but i remember it didn’t make any kind of sense. We should be able to cancel anything we want to cancel whenever we want to cancel it.

I’m a hobbyist herbalist. Here is everything I know about “natural” hair care (i have thick hair with a slight s-wave for context): Look for shampoos/conditioners containing rosemary and tea tree oil. These are the only essential oils I’ve found any proof of being beneficial, and even then they are about on par with artificial competitors. All other oils just smell nice. If you want a good hair mask, mix a tablespoon of coconut oil with half a teaspoon of honey. Massage into your hair and then leave for up to an hour tops then take a shower. To remove product buildup, drench your hair with apple cider vinegar then wash. For deep repairs, use egg whites as a mask but ONLY for thinner hair.

Which would mean yr 30 day guarantee would be up and I can bet my bottom dollar If u messaged ur rep and said it's not helping or ur having problems they'd advise the same thing....give it a month to 6 weeks that's how long some products start to show results 😂

I have super long hair highlighted blonde hair. I’m 33 years old. I’ve tried all the expensive shampoos and conditioners on the market (no mlm brands though lol) and you know what I use? Jhirmack purple shampoo from the drugstore, a purple toning conditioner from Sally’s, and GARNIER sleek and shine. I recommend Garnier to so many people because it makes my hair so soft and beautiful and it’s CHEAP. I buy the giant bottle and it lasts me months. It works just as good as any expensive brand I’ve tried. You don’t need expensive hair care and you DEFINITELY don’t need Monat or any mlm crap

I don't think anybody but my immediate family members know what shampoo I use. If somehow I end up discussing hair/skin/whatever products with someone, then I might mention what I use. My social media is predominantly my cats tbh. If anyone wants to pay me for posting pics (and only that) of my cats, hit me up. 😂

This is such a good point! Like honestly… you could ask my husband which brand of shampoo I use and he probably wouldn’t even remember 😂 it’s just not something you talk about or post about unless you’re in an MLM!

Two things. 1. I have the same cup from Starbucks! 🙌🏻 2. The only supplement I take is fiber. I get the CVS brand. It is better than the name brands they also carry. So, you should definitely get your supplements from the drug store. 😁

Why is the Monat rep constantly pulling on her shirt opening and she fixed her bun like three times in the jump cuts. I heard nothing she said cuz she wouldn’t stop fidgeting!

Hm I wonder why monat worked better than those “natural” products… 🤔 1. “Natural” tends to mean ineffective. You take out the effective “chemicals” discovered through science, you get what you ask for. 2. Monat loves to claim they’re all natural but clearly ain’t so natural lol Anyway, I’m in the middle of a rewatch and can confirm the MLM playlist is as bingeable as ever!

"we get paid on Fridays so that is 5 paydays a month." Generally only 4 months a year would have 5 fridays. 8 would only have 4. Just another misleading statement from an MLM rep.

I guess Monat products last at least 6 months. My stuff that works well and is under $10 lasts on average 4 months. They make it seem like when they say that their products lasts longer than what most people use, then that means that they need a lot of customers so they can get enough customers buying from the reps since the customers don't need to repurchase within a year that much. I feel like they're saying that the products last a long time so it will give people a reason to buy products that are more expensive than well known that people consider to be not affordable or even pricey. This still doesn't work 'cause they know that we buy products that are $10 or less. Even if we had to buy are cheaply priced products every 2 months, we would be spending about a max of $60 per product. Which is no more than the same price for any or at least most of Monat's products. So most people are still saving money buy not buying one or two Monat products in a year. I'm sure that their products don't last for a whole year.

Oh really?? I will do some research, thank you! It was still showing up on their website as of yesterday that they call it a “money back guarantee” but that doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to say that 😂🤦🏼♀️

@@HannahAlonzo Also it is 30 days from purchase date. Most people don’t know that and find that it is too late. Not to mention your rep will tell you wait you need to try the product for at least 3 months for results (detox) just to keep getting your money.

There has gotta be someone that wants haircare products (I'm not talking about haircare tools). Though I'm sure that's a small amount of people. Then they have to get the ones that want Monat. I would think that people would prefer useful underwear and socks if given a choice of haircare products that will be used up before a year has passed or underwear and socks that they'll use for a few years, I think that people would take the unwanted as a gift useful underwear and socks. Correct me if I'm wrong.
