Ugh yes. Part of my job is coaching people to gently push them to take uncomfortable action. If they are "uncoachable," then it's either my job to help them overcome the obstacle that's making them "uncoachable", or stop working with them because I clearly can not help them. In short, people are not "uncoachable." It's a matter of can the coach help them or not. Edit: so to clarify. Uncoachable can mean that they don't want help, which is fine! Everyone's happy. But it can also mean that they are rejecting the advice. And that's a gateway into actual growth. Why are they rejecting the advice? Maybe it's bad advice? Maybe it's good advice but not suitable for them? Maybe it's great advice but there's a pain/fear keeping them from taking action? For example, in an MLM, a common reaction is that people are unable to scam others even though they know it's what they're being told to do. That's not being "uncoachable." That's their body actually refusing to perform an action that goes against their values.

I expect that it's part of the same razzle-dazzle game as them making content from their cars - they want to project this image of them always being on the go and super busy because it ties in with the image they have of a successful corporate type, and as much as they like to rib on people who work 'regular nine to fives' they 1) do like the legitimacy-feel of a corporate setting (I think Hannah talked about that with regards to one of those big MLM-meets in another video), and 2) they heavily glamorise and romanticise CEO-core (or what it means to be a 'CEO' in their minds, anyway)

It's just designed to vaguely imply (to the casual observer) like someone at sales level "200K" is earning $200,000. Super-sneaky, purposely calculated, carefully crafted illusions like this are all over MLMs' sales pitches.

Here I find myself, licking my wounds, after finally realizing I’ve been scolding myself for “not being successful” in MLM or direct sales. I’m so GLAD now that I wasn’t “successful” according to their standards because it would’ve meant I completely sold my soul to it. I’ll admit I sounded like these people for way too long but the nagging from my heart that something has been “off” all this time…it’s real. I had a legit LLC as a stylist before ever joining the first direct sales opp I was in. As a practicing attorney, my experience is that lawyers are the worst about reading most contracts. 😆 And law students are learning…the law, by which I mean the case law surrounding contracts, rather than the contracts themselves. She’d have to be in a much more specialized course to look for and understand what she’s reading.

Poaching happen in regular businesses also. I work for Fedex as a package handler. A lot of not most of people can’t handle the job or hate the job and quit right away. The past few months they have been paying 25 bucks an hour. They have a lot of signs outside and advertising letting people know about 25 per hour. The sad thing is over the last couple month I have met so people who left a great job to come to Fedex for the 25 per hour. 2 weeks later they quit and they have lost that other job. It is really a sad thing!!!!

So many teachers can't afford to teach and have multiple jobs on the side. In Young Living we had I think either 30 or 60 days to "stack" someone and place them where we wanted within the pyramid. I mean - so many people have to go under one person to make that one person successful right? Using people like literal pawns. Hi Hannah, I was watching one of your video where you were comparing the law of attraction with Karma. What is actually happening is that we are all bombarded with so much information and stimulation all the time. Our brain has to decide what we are going to keep. We keep what we believe best matches our core belief system and our world view. If we believe the world is a safe place full of mostly nice people, or a fearful place full of dangerous people, we tend to filter out information that contradicts our world view and incorporate information that supports it. The distinction between manifesting a result and role modeling good behavior is subtle, but it is much more Ingrained than just behavior or thought. Our core belief systems are very hard to change. Core beliefs are where things like honesty, ethics, belief in a god reside. It takes very concerted brainwashing efforts to change core beliefs. This is why DV is so hard to work on because a perpetrator suffers from a faulty belief system and not an anger problem. So does his or her prey. They both they are in control of the violence. The perpetrator believes he or she has the right to control everything and everybody in his sphere of influence. His or her prey will begin to suffer under the delusion that if he or she behaves in a way that pleases the perpetrator the violence won’t happen this time. Both are faulty beliefs. But, this is a predator prey and hawks know what bunnies look like. The hawk was hunting when he or she found the bunny. The bunny wasn’t looking or wishing for a hawk. I got a bit side tracked there. But I believe that MLMs are using absolutely nots one of the same techniques many DV perpetrators use to lure in their victims. If they were monsters on the first date, their victim would run off. Most of w I'm still in shockhat they do in the beginning seems very loving to some women. Most of us would find it off putting, but some of the behavior is love bombing while isolating her from her support system. He may tell her that her sister is a whore and hit on him. That her parents don’t like him. He won’t like her friends. In the beginning, he’ll buy her clothes or ask her to wear certain things to look good for him. Soon he controls what she wears. Then it doesn’t make sense for them to have separate money and he’ll just take care of everything for her. Soon she won’t make a move without his input and then permission. He may or may not hit her, but he will be in control and probably unpredictable. Hope this makes some sense. I see yesa lot of similarities.

Sharing stuff to your story is actually PR, not marketing. Depending on how it's shared either good or bad it's PR nonetheless. Yes, the company benefits, but it's not marketing. PR is brand reputation. People sharing they like something is a good thing. And, it's excellent PR :-) Ppl sharing they hate something is PR. And, it's something a company needs to track to know what they need to fix or take care of.
