Yeah but u can't b mad at them completely, if I can make 100k setting up a fight, and u r willing 2 fight for only 5k and b happy, why wouldn't I? U could have asked for 40k and I would have paid u, but I started low and u took the first offer. Stupid fighters make UFC alot of money. Know ur worth, look at Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, they sell their fights and negotiate good 4 themselves... cuz they have a product and they know its value. @@danv8718 Dana is a moron. Lowballing your roster so that they move to the competition is unfathomably stupid. The UFC's competition were barely worth noting 2 years ago. Now Dana forced Rory and the Moose to go to Bellator, which has somewhat legitimised them and I as well as many others watch Bellator to some extent now where we didn't before, and ONE has Johnson and Alvarez, which also makes me watch ONE now, ONE about to break into the American market too, for free too I hear. All because of greed. This company is worth billions. How can you pay a popular fighter who's got the time put in, coming off of a title fight, FIFTEEN THOUSAND?? I dislike Nate more than I like him, but that's fucked up. Dana could make all of his competition disappear into the ether by paying his fighters more, but he doesn't. The minimum pay for the prelims should be 50k, 100k for the main card and 250k+ for the main event. Minimum.

Also as someone else mentioned his healthy life style & training. That's all his life seems to be is training, shit talking, fighting, & smoking. That's what makes a great & entertaining fighter. However I suppose if he didn't have those disputes he would have had a lot more fights, any of which could have caused permanent damage shortening his career. So I guess in a sense you are correct.

This is actually a great piece of journalism. Something you don't see anymore. You're personal opinion can't be found anywhere, you simply lay out the facts, and that's unbelievably admirable. In fact, this is so straight up with the facts, it actually shows how frustrating working with Nate has been for the UFC. A lot of people just want to claim that Dana White is an asshole to Diaz, but when you look at the chronology of it, like you show in this video, it proves that he really wasn't a "needle mover" until he fought McGreggor. Tbh... it kind of seems like Nate Diaz owes his current spot in the MMA world to Conor McGreggor, someone who was able to do what Nate couldn't for all those years.

Nate Diaz has been the absolute only reason I've been back into the UFC. Bought ufc 196 and the rematch that looked like they underpaid him by his performance. I bought FightPass literally only for his fights. He is the absolute KING of the sport. He's the real Randy Couture. He ALWAYS picks up, congratulates, and openly praises the guys he finishes off. Dude is the fuckin king of this shit for sure. Randy Couture style brawling too, and rarely anything to inflict damage. Like Fighting to him has to be pretty fair, he consistantly shows too much respect for his own good but still goes on. Dude is IT. Nate is the only prize fighter in the UFC who actually wins. Everyone else disregards what people wanna see in a fight. i could go on forever about how awesome this dude is

Hearing about this after the fact is so strange. I think my age group should have been buzzing about Nate, his brother and mma because he’s everything we would’ve loved during elementary/high school years. But there was no cultural impact that I saw. It’s a shame, he should’ve been massively popular with us.

This is all evidence to support why I think that despite Nate’s incredible UFC 241 success both in and out of the octagon lifting his stock to all time highs and despite wanting to see him headline shows without McGregor... The smartest thing for Nate to do is use his star power and his callout of Masvidal to get the trilogy with Conor and take that fight next instead. He’ll probably make 5 mil and never need to fight again unless it’s lucrative or he just wants to and it’s just far to likely that he gets screwed by the UFC between now and then if he doesn’t take that fight now while he’s got all the momentum. If he can keep winning these fights against popular and exciting top ranked guys then yea it’s gonna get him hella paid even without Conor and the trilogy will always be there and the payout will grow so long as he’s winning and keeps himself relevant but the worry is he could lose a decision and that the UFC would screw him over as quickly and as hard as they could and might even take the trilogy off the table. They DONT want Nate to be more relevant to the fans than Conor McGregor and I don’t care what they say.

Jack M I’d love to see that as well. It’s funny because they actually have had standoffs as teams in the past and it’s a easy fight to sell. Nate would get wrestled up but if anyone can find a submission of his back against Khabib Nate has that chance. Call me crazy but the other guy I’d like to see Nate fight if they can find a weight that works is Israel Adesanya! Fireworks 💥 GSP - Khabib - Stylebender After Jorge these are the only fights I care to see for Nate but I’ll watch whatever he ends up doing.
