I have the same car. After changing the rack and pinion, the steering now feels jerky and not smooth. The steering wheel feels somewhat tight and hard to turn at certain angles. Why?

might have air in it. Could be a seal or could need bleeding

@@RoadsideRescue I got someone to install the rack and pinion, maybe he didn't do a proper installation. A few days after it was installed, a mounting bolt got loose and fell out so I had to buy another one to put it on. I understand this could be air in the system. Do you think something like loose bolt somewhere like the steering shaft to rack, tie rods, or just something not fully tightened could cause the steering to feel jerky, not smooth, and sometimes hard to turn at certain angles? I may have to double check all the bolts.
