The Welsh Government is planning to allow people to self-identify their gender when standing as candidates for the Senedd.
Plans to increase the number of Senedd Members from 60 to 96 and change the electoral system to one that is wholly proportional have already been published in a Draft Bill.
But the Bill excluded another reform to which both Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru are committed: creating a gender-balanced Senedd by having quotas for male and female candidates. Instead, the Welsh Government has said that a second Draft Bill covering this aspect will be published before the end of 2023.

The law is very clear. Rape is defined as penetration by penis and therefore only biological males can be charged specifically with rape. Anything else would be sexual assault or sexual assault by penetration. But correct, the inevitable grey area of self identification with not requirement for medical intervention does allow rapists to be classed as women - in total contradiction to the statute wording.

But these new trans individuals, which align themselves with the Trans community, are not really trans at all. These Non Binary, Gender Fluid, or Gender Non Conforming individuals do not physically transition, but will use all of these new pronouns, including all of these new Neo Pronouns. Changing your pronouns does not make you a trans individual. These new type of trans individuals won't physically transition their looks. But the worst part is when some of these new trans individuals can change their Pronouns wherever they want, and can even go after others by saying that this person mis-gendered me, or that person didn't use my current pronoun selection. When the laws get behind the side of these new types of trans individuals, then society is going to fall apart. How can any laws be put in place to punish others for not playing someone else's reindeer Gender Identity, and pronoun games. Especially when these trans individuals can change their pronouns from day to day, and have others fined, or charged for not going along with your current pronoun selection! That is lunacy.

@@simonchristopher7 Did you encounter a man in a woman’s bathroom last Friday? Because I did. He didn’t even try and look like a woman. Scared the absolute sh@t out of me. Because the state I live in, our Governor rammed through our house and senate a bill that allows all public toilets to be gender neutral. (Illinois). This bathroom was clearly designated female, but these men don’t care. And this is not the first time this has happened to me. I am recovering from domestic violence. I do not feel safe around men in general, and especially when I am so vulnerable, with my pants pulled down and on the toilet. This issue affects all women. We are 51% of the population! I have a lot of orthopedic issues and need to join the gym. But I am terrified of what I may encounter in the locker room. Does that seem fair to you?

@@maryannebrown2385 I live in a city full of gender neutral bathrooms. I’d rather it goes that way for the safety of all. I have no female friends who have any issue whatsoever with washing their hands next to men, or indeed trans women.
