Thanks! 💪 I have a question: the flat and incline bench press in this video ( 3:40 , 7:11 ) is a type of smith machine or is a barbell bench (free weigths) tied with chains?

That machine with the sensor is awesome.....never heard of nor seen one before!
@jonas24313 жыл бұрын

@fatboitino23 жыл бұрын
Must not have caught on. Probably still available somewhere. They have similar machines, without the sensor. I wonder if the sensor fails at times
@Gfors853 жыл бұрын
yeah, but what if the sensors gets dusted, broken or malfunction? not nice when it doesnt lock when it should xD
@_the_concestor_818510 ай бұрын
To be honest, it seems like one of those things to me that could very well have caught on for the first few years and then some terrible accident happened in a gym somewhere with the sensor failing and that would have put all the nails in its coffin.

Lee deserves a place on the Mt. Rushmore of bodybuilding. Jay Cutler was so impressed the first time he saw Lee that he wondered how he could move. Always have time for Lee. Thank you for this. Exactly. Training in intense heat. Had the best workouts of my life in Vietnam.

Lee has always been a straight shooter. The more I listen to him, the more I like him. Great guy and great physique.
@mikerenteria7623 жыл бұрын
Lee trains with some of the best form of all the IFBB pros. Each rep has a controlled, deliberate cadence. He pulls no punches and tells it like he sees it. Lee has arguably the best upper arms in IFBB history. I used to think Priest's chest was a lagging bodypart, but it retrospect, he's actually very complete and symmetrical. It's simply that his arms are so damn big that they make other muscle groups look small by comparison. If he does make a comeback and doesn't suffer from much nerve damage due to the car accident, it'll be interesting to see just what form he presents come contest time.
@tomandersson50893 жыл бұрын
who decided what the proper form is/was? that i s proper form? because we dont train the same... full range of motion never worked for me... i tried partial reps BLAM i grew like crazy!... so no one can say what proper form is for everyone!
@mikerenteria7623 жыл бұрын
@@tomandersson5089 if the shoe fits wear it. I must have struck a nerve. To each their own. Have a good day. Note: I just looked at your pic. Great physique bro. Obviously the partials worked for you. I should have presaged my comment by saying, "in my opinion"....but as you rightly suggest, there are many roads to Rome.
@mikerenteria7623 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, the best form is one that is full of innervation. Feeling the target muscle stretch and contract; contracting the weight up instead of merely lifting it. If it's an all out beyond failure work set I'd do full ROM to failure with 2-3 forced reps (if partner is available) followed by a static hold near the bottom before tension comes off and then possibly a drop set or double drop. Sometimes I'd advocate doing partial pulses or stage sets. I too think partials are effective. I too have used body english to get up cheat reps after strict failure on barbell curls. But for most people, doing an exercise under control, without cheating and without throwing the weight around, is indeed the proper way to lift. For you using loose form may work wonders, but I'm assuming that's not what you're really postulating. If you're reading this trust me, Lee uses great form. Using great form doesn't mean you can't train brutally hard. As a matter of fact, strict training is far harder than loose form training. Make every exercise as hard as possible and you'll make it as useful as possible. If you're new to the iron game use Lee's form as a guide to emulate. Charles Glass is another great guy to learn from. If you'd like email me and I'd be happy to set you up a customized training and dietary regimen.
@dubyuellem75343 жыл бұрын
Yes, his form is perfect, each rep of every exercise is total control. I have been lucky to have belonged to several gyms that had Pro bodybuilders train there, and their mind/muscle link is the thing that I feel separated them from the 'others'. Their concentration while working out was unreal, total focus on the muscle being trained, not on the weight being used.

Compare this with the way Branch Warren trains. No disrespect, but, it's a completely different level of functional fitness for Lee to have such a controlled beautiful form even when lifting heavy. One of a kind !

Functional fitness literally has nothing to do with it seeing that bodybuilding isn't functional. At all lol. But the difference in builds is something I'd certainly agree with. Branch just seems like he's lifting to be a movie character. Lee lifts to be Mr Olympia.

The real art and technique of training right there!! Comes from years and years of experience and learning, developing as you go along!! The dieting and preparation before the day of the competition is also next level - know your body and how it reacts. Why trying to harm your body like most other individuals. Lee understands the meaning of longevity especially in this sport. Super awesome!!
