I bought an OG PS5 DD and added black face plates + 2TB SSD so pretty happy with it. It has the firmware 7.00 so not too bad as it'll be hackable. If it was 8xx then I'd just sell it off.

3.xx up to 4.51 are jailbreakable using etahen already available for about a year now. This video is about firmwares 1.xx up to 2.7 called UMTX (1st public kernel exploit). Yet, as modded warfare pointed it is still in the early days so we just wait a little bit and things are going to develop faster. Lightning mods just received his testkit, so yeah ! There is going to be good news in the near future.

Yes! With lower firmware you get bigger chances for jailbreak, there are not many great games in my opinion on ps5 anyways until now
