Saw Modest Mouse in NYC IN the mid 1990’s in this little tiny venue. Hot and sweaty little club called The Cooler. I love them still to this day. Fast forward to my now 17 year old kid asking me if I have ever heard of the band Modest Mouse and taking him to NYC for a Modest Mouse show. It’s surreal and a big, beautiful perfect circle.

It will never cease to amaze me how Modest Mouse has consistently dropped amazing album after amazing album from This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About to now. I cherish every song they have made; I love Ugly Casanova, every MM EP and even the live songs that they played only once and only low quality recordings of them exist. They're my favorite band of all time; Isaac Brock is a musical and lyrical genius. I was beyond lucky to see them perform at Sloss Furnace for my birthday a few years ago. I really can't wait for The Golden Casket to drop on June 25th. Modest Mouse is like a fine wine; it only gets better with time.

Once I turned 14, I got Spotify and started branching out on the artists I listened to. You guys were one of the artists. I remembered what made me think back to when was 5 and my parents put you guys on in the car: It was that style that just stuck with me that no else artist I thought could have.
