Fantastic build video. Nice idea for removing the engine seems. The rear cockpit vent is super. Thanks for showing more of your build. Stunning work sir.

Another terrific build so far. I agree. The added lil scratch built bits definitely make the model better.

Thanks so much for the info. Really helps. Also I am glad I watched this build as I would have had tough time getting the final canopy together.

You're welcome. Yes for me, as I mentioned, it was the wings on the back of the batmobile that were the hardest. Thanks for watching.

Really great scratch building. I was really disappointed this the interior. You have really motivated me. Color looks great as well.

Thanks. You know I spoke with a gentleman from Moebius at Comic Con this weekend about this very subject. Bottom line they're sometimes unsure as to how much detail to include, especially with the interior. At least here these modifications are not terribly hard and provides a good opportunity to practice scratch building. For me these challenges have pushed me to the next level of building and I find it enjoyable to try and come up with an approach and executing it. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks again for watching and for your kind comments.

Interstellar Modeler I think you're right! It's quite expensive over here still, £60, so might leave it for a few months. Will be watching this build with interest matey.

Hi, fantastic job on the build! I am interested in getting into these kind of models any recommendations, tips or tools that I should consider?
@InterstellarModeler7 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply....I would start with a simple model. If you want to start with canned paints I would use the Tamyia brand. They spray with a much finer mist. Eventually you should think about airbrushing and there are ways to gradually make the transition if you wish. Check out some of Testors products. That's the way I started and I currently use a Badger Patrtiot 105. Let me know if you need any specific advice. Thanks for watching

Thanks for answering all of my questions so quickly,I really appreciate it.It's too bad that there's not enough room on the inside to light and power it internally,I guess I'll go with a base for it to power it.I do have a paint color question,the instructions say to use a silver and a steel color for the model.What's a good Tamiya paint for both colors or is there something better to use?Thanks again for your help and I hope to hear from you again soon.

You're welcome. It did help to use the thin wired SMDs for this project for sure. Really helps out in tight spaces. Again they were all bought from modeltrainsoftware. Regarding the paint....if you're referring to the main body I really liked the Tamyia Rubber Black. It isn't jet black and dries with a flatter finish. For the metal parts of the engines I like to go darker....steel or gunmetal or a mix of both.

I can't find steel in Tamiya color chart anywhere.Do they make it or someone else make it?
@InterstellarModeler6 жыл бұрын
You can try Testors Metalizer paints or I am now using acrylics and have been very happy with Vallejo paints. They have a gun metal and a natural steel color

Thanks I just ordered the Vallejo Steel Acrylic Paint.

Hi Daniel, I'm sorry but I should have mentioned if you plan on using this paint in an airbrush you will need Vallejo Medium Thinner. What I do is add about 4-5 drops of medium thinner before adding Testors Acrylic paint thinner to make this usable in an airbrush.

Hey, Oggie, have you seen the documentary "Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile" on the BvS Blu-ray Disc? The Batmobile's not as dark as you or I would think.

Thanks Dale....yes it sure doesn't look as dark as the others in the past. I will check it out for sure. Thank you

Hello. I have had no luck getting any types of glue to work on this model. Used tamiya, testers and games workshop citadel plastic glue. Did you have any trouble? Thanks.
@InterstellarModeler8 жыл бұрын
I actually used Testors for some of the assembly but come to think of it, I did use Superglue quite often. That was mainly because I wanted some of the parts to stick together quickly, especially when piecing together the main body. I don't recall having problems with the Testors cement. So I would try superglue gel. It probably goes without saying but just make sure you are certain before applying the adhesive because once the cyanoacrylate cures, it will be hard to undo them. An accelerator liquid may help too such as Insta-set. Hope that helps.

question what is the colour of the interior rear firewall with screen for a lack of description. from photos of actual car the color looks like a white with weathering or in others a brass color?
@InterstellarModeler7 жыл бұрын
I still think it looks like a silver/metallic color with some dirt and grime added.
