Welcome! If you are new to the channel, I'm ti8ick (pronounced tibick or tibs), a Streamer/KZbinr that has fallen down into the rabbit hole of Warhammer 40k. A lot of people recommended me to watch Starcraft 2's cinematic because of the similarities with Warhammer 40k and here we are! I'm thinking of watching the whole cinematics about Kerrigan, including the in-game ones, what do you think?

Fun fact: Sarah Kerrigan's name and title are a reference to Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, who was at the top of the field in the 90's and was known as the "Queen of Blades."

Also Blizzard chose this name to f*** with westwood (Command & Conquer, most successful rts competitor at that time), because they had a special character called Tanya in Red Alert which sounded like Tonya, the one ice skater made responsible for the unfair attack against kerrigan.

Her name is Sarah Kerrigan in one battle she was betrayed by arcturus mengsk, and he left her there to die after the battle the swarm computered here and turned her into what she is now.😊

You mean captured her right lol but yeah, she is one of my favorite characters in Starcraft and somewhere in storage I actually have the book Liberty's Crusade which is a good book in my opinion.

Sarah Kerrigan is voiced by the Actress Tricia Helfer, who also played "Six" the blond Cylon on Battlestar Galactica which is one of the best TV shows ever made.

Kerrigan was betrayed and left behind by Arcturus. Instead of being killed by the zerg, she was captured alive and transformed.

@Sonofhroft Arcturus Mensk. He was the leader of the sons of korval in the first game. When the sons of korval overthrew the confederacy, he crowned himself emperor of the terran dominion. Kerrigan was left behind because of her political unreliability and revenge because she killed Mensk's father.

I gotta say, I love how she just knows certain stuff that only ultra nerds know about. She either knows somebody that tells her about that or she did her homework on stuff. Either way, I love your dedication. Keep it up :)

3:00 ti8ick, I’ll correct it a little, the creators of StarCraft were inspired by Warhammer, they initially wanted to make a game based on Wach, hence the similarities between the Tyranids and the Zerg and the power armor of people with the Space Marines, the Tyranids appeared in 1993, and StarCraft was released in 1998, 5 years later))

They even had a contract with blizzard to make a wh40k game, but pulled out mid development. Since the contract was very vague about content reuse, blizzard changed some things and created star craft, as the had already invested too much and would have died, if the project failed. Later on games workshop copied the zerg style from star craft (without permission) and changed their goofy looking tyranids accordingly, to still cash in on the star craft hype.

@@supermaraudergirl9770 nah, thats false and only the people that repeat the same ignorant and stupid comment about some deal or contract that never existed and that GW didnt create any concept of fiction so its stupid to say that GW its source of inspiration bc is not and no, the zerg dont have been inspired by the tyranids bc the tyranids didnt create the concept of swarm alien in fiction, it was alien xenomorph, starshiptroopers, ender game the novel among others. Investigate and dont be stupid.

There are videos that compile all of the in-game cutscenes for each campaign. They're kinda long, but they'll give you a good idea of whats going on. But there's also a lot learned through gameplay too so unless you play through the campaigns you won't be able to enjoy the story fully. You can just smash through them on easy if you just want the story. Oh I should also mention that there are many links between StarCraft 1 and 2. Many events from the first game are mentioned during the campaigns in the second game.

I think the Appeal for me is the idea of rapid genetic evolution into perfect organisms for the role, and the idea of working for the common good of / prosperity of the collective like ants and bees. You want to REALLY love the bugs, check out some Carbotanimations bugs.

Was it said there that Arcturus not betrayed her without reason? It also was vengence because Sarah was one of three Confederation ghosts who killed his entire family. Arcturus recruited and used her but could not forgive her.

тебе стоит обязательно посмотреть игровые ролики из второго старика. В таком же порядке, как смотришь трейлеры. Играть в саму игру не обязательно, там между каждой миссией есть ролик, сюжет будет вполне понятен.

Nobody steals anything from anyone. It's called inspiration or influence. Imagine if nobody had "stolen" the design of the first car and improved it. We would all still be driving Model Ts, playing Diablo 1 and be eating only McDonalds.

so you don't know the actual story behind it? Blizzard was contacted by GW to make a Wh40k rts video game (rts was THE SH!T back than), but pulled out mid development. To cut losses, Blizzard changed the content just enough to not get copyright problems with GW and released non the less. After release GW noticed the zerg hype and changed their tyranid miniature range accordingly, well knowing Blizzard forgot to copyright their original design and couldn't sue them.

There are more cinematics. While they do not tell full story, they are still worth watching, particularly last one. It ends like it started. And of course Legacy of the Void, where "mommy" ascends and have virtual sex with Jimmy.😋 Kerrigan is a super-villain, there is no two ways about it. But she is a very well done villain, one you can sympathize with, just like Arthas from Warcraft. Unfortunately Blizzard long lost ability to create such characters.

Starcraft was originally going to be an IP of warhammer, the three races were meant to be human, tyranid and eldar. But warhammer pulled out way late in the process and the devs made thier own stories and history. Its why terran marines and warhammer space marines look visually similar

Actually it’s the other way around StarCraft was a originally supposed to be a Warhammer game but for whatever reason GW pulled out of the project but blizzard already put so much time and money in to the game so they redesigned the characters and the rest as they say is history

@@atreyos9449 and yet there are so many series that took inspiration from both Warhammer fantasy and 40k. it’s not a stretch to believe that StarCraft may or may not have had a connection with GW but it’s was heavily influenced by Warhammer and the fact that Dawn of war came out not 6 years later show that GW was very salty about something my guess is that Blizzard approached GW with the idea of StarCraft GW rejected it so Blizzard changed StarCraft just enough to avoid copyright as Fu to GW and ran with it and the rest is history. When you picked my post out several to comment on with your trollness shows how ignorant and stupid you are. You should really play the games. The story is amazing, and if you are not an RTS player, you can just play it on easy so you can progress fazster and learn all there is to know of this universe, while having fun. What they did to the RTS playability, the new mechanics, in Starcraft 2, it is really wonderful!

@@robertquint8785 Despite their childish insults of 'ignorance' and 'stupidity', they may be at least partially correct. As far as I can tell, there was never any plans for Starcraft to be a Warhammer game. The closest link I found was an interview with one of the original Blizzard crew talking about the first Warcraft game, where some of them wanted to make a Warhammer game but most of the creators wanted to create their own world (and therefore their own IP), albeit in that popular Lord of the Rings style. So obviously, there was inspiration going between GW and Blizzard, but that's nothing new in these circles - Games Workshop was the master at taking ideas from other sources and making them into their own thing, after all!

There are heaps of female Tyranid / Zerg players out there, I'm not sure why. Most girls will admit creepy crawlies are their worst nightmare, so maybe they want to bring their dread to their opponents? Regardless, always play the faction you find the most badass.
