Its mother, Sister not mother, father..😆😆 I always thought that Qadhi conviniently switch his reasoning, hadiths in a very sofisticated style. Allah, Allah, Allah, why did they have to narrate these hadiths and recorded in the books . Why did they create such a mess. Through independant scholars like Abu Layth, we are now learning this side of religious literature. Its very sad to know about it and it does not help us increase our Imaan. I wonder how the mainstream scholars explain these hadiths to their students or do they even talk about these hadiths in their gatherings. I also wonder if the scholars are so honest and daring to speak with such frankness like Mufti Abu Layth.

If you study the development of rabbinical literature & the "New Testament" canon, even the Eastern religions (Buddhism has something similar like the hadith corpus but even more sketchy) it makes complete sense. The priesthoods & claimants of orthodoxy have always done this crap. Early Islam was much more vibrant & diverse just like early Christianity. Hadith seem more & more like a self inflicted wound that has become rotten. Time for surgical removal. Muhammed is portrayed rather poorly in many traditions attributed to him just like Jews portray the Israelite prophets in very poor light. The fact that they came out with tons & tons of this stuff much later on & there's a real dearth of early manuscripts indicates that they really went to town. You don't see the same thing in Christianity because they were trying to build a "higher Christology" & got rid of most things that would indicate human vulnerability.

mufti i actually just checked the Albaani fatwa about adult breasting grown men with full beards, and its actually in the sahih hadith... Aisha reported that it had been revealed in the Holy Qur’an that *ten clear sucklings* make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated by five sucklings and Allah’s Apostle died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur’an (and recited by the Muslims). Sahih Muslim 3421 ----------- It was narrated that Aishah said: “The Verse of stoning and of *breastfeeding an adult ten times* was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.” Sunan ibn Majah 1944 ------------------------------------------------------ Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Safiyya bint Abi Ubayd told him that *Hafsa, Umm al-Muminin* [Mother of the Believers], sent Asim ibn Abdullah ibn Sa'd to her sister, Fatima bint Umar ibn al-Khattab, *for her to suckle him ten times* so that he could come in to see her. She did it, so he used to come in to see her. Al-Muwatta of Imam Malik 30.1.8 ---------------------------------------------------------- -Sahla bint Suhayl, who was the wife of Abu Hudhayfa, and one of the tribe of Amr ibn Lu'ayy, came to the Messenger of Allah, and said, "Messenger of Allah! We think of Salim as a son and he comes in to see me when I am uncovered. We only have one room, so what do you think about the situation?" The Messenger of Allah said, "Give him five drinks of your milk and he will be mahram [illegal to marry] by it." She then saw him as a foster-son. *Aisha,* Umm al-Muminin [Mother of the Believers], took that as a precedent for whatever men she wanted to be able to come to see her. *She ordered her sister, Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr as-Siddiq and the daughters of her brother to give milk to whichever men she wanted to be able to come in to see her.* The rest of the wives of the Prophet *refused to let anyone come in to them by such nursing.* They said, "No, by Allah! We think that what the Messenger of Allah ordered Sahla bint Suhayl to do was only by an indulgence concerning the nursing of Salim alone. *No, by Allah! No-one will come in upon us by such nursing!"* Al-Muwatta of Imam Malik 30.2.12 ----------------------------------------------------------- Shahin Lashin: *“A’isha opined that adult breast feeding makes an individual mahram, and she practically breast fed a young man,* and he would enter upon her, but the remainder mothers of the believers denied it (adult breast feeding)…” Source: Fatah Ul-Mun’im Sharh Saheeh Muslim. @King of Detroit, that’s where the misunderstanding with Mufti happens. Things like Tats & anal might be discouraged etc, but if there is no absolute 100% proof that its haram, then scholars or laity don’t have authority to make it haram. It goes both ways. Making the haram halal and halal haram are both prohibited. Unfortunately we are sheltered from much of the nuances and discourse on many issues. Imams salaries are based on their communities , they can’t start “controversy” or rock the boat or there replaced. Hadith dogmatism fills the vacuum when people are denied using reason.

I don't always agree with Mufti Sahab- But he clearly comes from the sunni tradition in a very real sense. Accusing him of otherwise is disingenuous. Having said that perhaps Mufti sahab should make it clear that some of his opinions lack Ijma. To be clear there is nothing wrong with that but it would help perhaps in contextualising his opinions.

To be honest I kinda agree with sheik Mohammed in the beginning. I feel like I lot of people praising the prophet more than god like you said yourself people would give their own life for the prophet meanwhile that is not the message. learn from him but don’t get obsessed. My concern is that I lot of stuff get normalised when they say “the prophet have said it or has done it” they don’t question it. It’s taboo to question it because the prophet have said it. I understand from where he is coming and I actually agree with him I really don’t get those people like YQ. @@anonymousa2155 unfortunately they react and speak so unnaturally that it becomes scary to listen to them. You hear people arguing that we should love the prophet more than their own mothers. True it’s the same what the did with Jesus but you will find it with most religions and there prophets. It’s like an icon also more symbolic how people react most of the time. It’s almost you aren’t allowed to be yourself. You have to follow what the prophet has done and you can only do that.. to me that doesn’t feel right be yourself and try to understand the message without being obsessed. The prophets would help you to understand the journey but it’s god you need to find not the prophets.

People, why don’t you try to understand these Ahadith regarding Gog, Magog and Jesus Christ in a metaphorical sense. If Jesus could speak in parables why can’t our Holy Prophet. This is the only way to reconcile such Hadith with Quran without rejecting them.
