Her fire target of 100 cr should well hv been achieved, I think she is only talking for an example but not literally true, Saurabh mukherjea famously said that a middle class living in a tier 1 city needs atleast 50 cr to retire, if that is the case then why is indian gpd per capita is only 2500 dollars

Saurabh Mukherjee is a very good story teller.. also he creates FOMO around people (maybe tries to attract to start investing with Marcellus) Really, I think numbers can be very dependable. Like if my current expenses is 30k/month. If I have my own house. Not much liabilities. Then 30 times of my Yearly expenses is my FIRE number. Which is around 1.2cr. Just giving a simple example. If I have 1.2cr now.. if I even keep it into 7% FD/liquid fund (not adding tax here for simplification). I will nearly get 7.2 Lkh interest each year. My expense is Lakh (30k*12). I have an extra 3 lkh interest income, which I can re-invest. You can really calculate by this type.
