MONSTER Bluefin Tuna *CLEAN & COOK* ft. Outdoor Chef Life

This video is from our trip to Southern California and I breakdown a big pacific bluefin tuna. After cleaning the tuna, Taku from ‪@OutdoorChefLife‬ came over and we made sushi for us! Would you try making some Icelandic fish dishes sometime? Plokkfiskur is a national favorite comfort food. Simple to make and its usually a leftover dish. You want to use a white fish like cod or pollock.

For big fish like that, get a Deba. You will NOT regret it. I've seen baitfish filleted with a Deba, though my skill doesn't reach that far. The knife seems very counter-intuitive to us Westerners, it's a thick heavy blade, not thin and flexible. But once I learned to use it? Wow.... I use mine for all my salmon and ocean fish. I think I will buy that serrated Dexter, though.....the Japanese version is hard to get and expensive here in the US (I forgot the name of it). Make cleaning up Albacore a breeze! Thanks for that one!
