Mordhau in 2024 is CHAOS

One thing I miss about Mordhau is character customization. Chivalry 2 is greatly lacking in that regard.

I’ve tried to get into chivalry 2 quite a few times but it really just doesn’t hit the same as Mordhau. They tick too many boxes for me to look elsewhere for a game like this

Chivalry never has had good customization options. I felt great about when I bought a skin for my Knight back in the day, at least that way I stood out somewhat on the battlefield. In the days of Chiv 1, after AoC, and before Mordhau, people like myself were forced to get good at the game among all the veterans- the thing about it though was that I always had fun. The emotes and voicelines were always a huge part of the game for me. I laugh every time I play Mordhau now, because it is genuinely hilarious at some moments.

@@G00N3YC4NG Yes I feel the same, I downloaded Mordhau once again after 2 years. It is really fun playing it again. Especially because Chivalry 2 servers are absolutely on fire atm so that's what drove me to give it a try again.

It’s a shame Mordhau doesn’t have a stronger player base. Its gameplay is very fun but the learning curve is definitely not

Would play Mord instead of Chiv if it wasn't so bloated with people that played since day 1. Cant play as a new player.

Unfortunately I completely agree. If you were happy with being pummelled constantly for weeks before you started to learn then you could get into it, but no new players will stick it out that long :(

@@WhySoTilted Oh I see, that's bad. In chiv we see few VERY good players, and a lot of average players. Iam playing about a month, and being honest, in 1v1 it's hard to find someone worthy a duel

As an epic games freebie generation victim (of the super sweaty tryhards that make up 95% of the game) I spent my first 100 hours only being a bard. Here lately I've tried fighting more but obv getting better is slow against dudes with 2-10k hours so I have instead switched to the throwing shields build because smacking people with targes is fun.

I joined the veteran crowd since I really liked being good at mordhau, as an Epic Games freebie, fucked around shortly after, then promptly left the game because it was eating too much of my time (and I already spent over 1400 hours in it). This is making me reconsider downloading EG just to play mord. Pristine game, even with all it's flaws, truly you are only ever beholden to yourself and nobody else. And the customization was amazing too!

It’s the only game of this style I’ll touch. Used to play mount and blade, chivalry etc but after I touched Mordhau I never wanted to play the others. True elite game and you should definitely reinstall!

As a dedicated free Mordhau player who has experienced both Chivalry 2 and Mordhau, I can confidently state that Mordhau is significantly more enjoyable, even in the face of defeat. The teams can often be unbalanced, particularly from my standpoint as a level 44 player with over 30 kills, occasionally taking down players at level 200 and above. Mordhau would greatly improve if seasoned players adopted a more welcoming attitude toward newcomers. I deliberately allow new players to win when I spot them. I initiate fights with a parry, avoiding acceleration and drags, to assess their skill level. I ensure that every player faces a challenge appropriate to their level, and I'm certain others like me commit to providing such opportunities. I urge everyone to return to Mordhau. If you find yourself frequently defeated by more experienced players, switch to a longbow build, which guarantees you can deal significant damage from a distance. Above all, the most crucial advice I can offer anyone eager to return is to steer clear of small servers. Always join larger servers with decent ping to fully experience and enjoy Mordhau.
