More fiberglass work on the Dune Buggy Project (E39)

When I bought the body there were wires run down the side and to the tail lights all through those straps. Ripped that all out as well as about 100 screws from the body.

Fiberglass work is so intimidating. How would one fix a fender? The previous owner cut about 1in to a 1in 1/2 off of my buggy and I would like to add it back but no clue where to begin.
