Most Comfy Down Pants | Cumulus Basic Down Pants | Review & Basics

Next video in the series of clothing for colder weather, now we focus on Down Pants. I will review the Basic Down Pants from CUMULUS and also cover some basics. During the review of the Cumulus Basic Down Pants you will get technical specs along with personal experience and recommendations WHY and IF you really need them for 3 season hiking.
The Basic Down Pants from Cumulus is an excellent product, very high quality and not to pricy. It will because of the light weight not be to much added weight to your backpack.
They are also, paired with a down jacket, an good way of improving your sleep systems Comfort rating. Perfect for shoulder season hiking. Just remember to pair it with a sleeping pad for the season as well.

Don't you think these will rip and tear easily if you actually had to walk in these...say hunting in Canada and layering these under overalls? Thanks

Yes. These are more for staying warm in camp and during the night and not as hiking or hunting pants! For that there are better ones out there!!

Quick question sir , I bought the naturehike down pants and I was wondering what’s the best way to store them should I leave them rolled up in the stuff bag ? Or hang them up so I don’t ruin the down insulation?

You can hang them or have them in a bag as long as you don’t compress them too much. I hang mine most of the time.

great review and a good product. Would you buy these pants today or you have any alternatives? What is your opinion about down shorts which are a little bit smaller. I need some pants for winter camping. Like your channel btw.

Hi and thanks, glad you like the channel 🙂 well I would definitely buy the pants again but keep them away from fire 😄 have a few smaller holes I needed to patch up with some DYNEEMA tape! But other then that, great pants. Regarding shorts yes, I believe that to be a good alternative for 3 season as well if the weight is as issue but for winter hmm 🤔 maybe pants is a better choice . Don’t do much winter hiking myself but it’s a feeling and the choice I would go for.

But How is down pants about breathing? I mean if i put over another ski pants. Är they good for Very cold vinter -25 and more ?
