These scammers were crazy after my mother, she bought it a couple times and still doesn't remember it. They put people on the list once they give money to a charity

I got an email recently from someone I've not talked to in years. Says he's in Europe and attacked, in the hospital and robbed needing money. I doubted it and wrote back asking if I could help him contact his family for him, and asked some questions only he would know. They couldn't answer the questions so I blocked the email. Someone must have hacked his account.
