I started doing this with food like a month ago without even realising, but now that you said it I just made “healthy” my “lazy” and it’s really working for me. I found an easy and healthy dish that I like for dinner and decided that if I don’t know what to eat, I’ll make and eat that dish. I eat it like 4 times a week now which isn’t that good “variety” wise, but it’s much better than ordering pizza every time :) And to be honest it’s a really good start for me and also just makes my life easier instead of stressing about it when I don’t know what to eat for dinner because I’m sure there’s always this dish as an option. I’ve also been feeling much healthier physically! So I definitely recommend this and I’m glad that someone explained this in a video :)

Visual cues are very important. And being able to see your distractions aka phone, comic, games etc play a significant role when it comes to trying to concentrate. Remove it from your sight and it reduces half of the restlessness. Hand it to someone in charge or if it's for diet just throw it away when you feel motivated. Cause as soon as you start doubting your new plans/goals and falling back onto your old habits/ tendencies, if the very thing/distraction is no longer in your reach, you'll get back after some agonizing moments of whining. Just remove it. Even temporarily, until you are done with what you have you have to do.

This is what I need, what we need to know!!! I've been wanting to have a productive life thinking that everyday I should be always motivated but no because there are days you are so motivated to do, finished a work, or even working out. Then, one day you'll just wake up you have no little motivation to move your body.

Facing your failure and rebounding as fast as possible is growth. Accepting failure and pulling yourself up is growth.

super helpful! i also find that doing tiny steps makes it easier like today i wasn't feeling like going for a run but i told myself i'll only put on my clothes, then i'll only stretch, then i'll only put on my shoes and then only walk out the door and eventually i was running and it was an awesome run so there's that

honestly being a broke student for a while helped me start eating healthy. Going to the grocery and buying fruits and vegetables and other healthier options was all I could afford at one point, I didn't have money for takeaways or to buy a lot of processed foods so then I developed healthy eating habits without the pressure and by the time I got paid takeaways and other things lost their appeal. I still snack occasionally or when I'm out eating ill get desserts and stuff but I've started budgeting my food spendings better and overall happier.

I’ve seen so many videos like this but this one actually gave me things to consider and apply in a way that wasn’t generic - I appreciate you’re giving this *after* you’ve utilized it accurately yourself!

this video came at literally the perfect time for me!! i've been trying to figure out exactly what you talked about because i realized my (already limited and fleeting) motivation alone was not going to get me anywhere. also i was thinking about atomic habits and then you mentioned it haha.

Today I woke up sad (don't know why) but I had no motivation for doing my things, but I knew that if I wanted to change my life and be more happier I HAD to workout and forget motivation. And I felt so much better after my attitude. But the day is just starting, and I am kinda excited for starting doing everything I never did before. (Seriously)

One thing that I learned to do is known as "temptation bundling," where you deliberately associate some kind of reward with something you don't necessarily want to do but should do. For instance, there are a number of podcasts I enjoy listening to, but I only allow myself to do so if I'm working out, and this gives me an incentive to keep going to the gym.

My motivation ran out a long time ago. This video is really helpful to get me to start exercising, something I've wanted to do for a while but I've never been able to stick too. I'm going to set out leggings and a tank top right now and put out my yoga mat for tomorrow morning! I'm also gonna find a workout video to follow and have it ready so it's the first thing I see when I open my laptop in the morning! wish me luck!!!! I promised myself if I could work out for 3 days a week until the new year (it's mid November) then I would buy myself something I've wanted for a while!!
