@@majaa_its Mainly I want to make a schedule and be able to stick to it consistently because I feel like most of the things I do wrong or don't do are because I can't be organized with my time.. I also want to be healthier, to exercise more specifically. I want to check out some things that have interested me like fashion, look at art tutorials, search up info about subjects I like. And then I also have to get started on college applications :(( which really scare me so I don't even have a college list yet. I read something last Sunday that deeply affected my week (and probably forever) is that perfection is the enemy of good effort. Instead of not running for an hour every day, how about running for 30 min 3x a week? Instead of going into a restrictive diet, how about including more healthy food in the diet? I think small REALISTIC goals can turn into long-lasting habits

I started doing this with food like a month ago without even realising, but now that you said it I just made “healthy” my “lazy” and it’s really working for me. I found an easy and healthy dish that I like for dinner and decided that if I don’t know what to eat, I’ll make and eat that dish. I eat it like 4 times a week now which isn’t that good “variety” wise, but it’s much better than ordering pizza every time :) And to be honest it’s a really good start for me and also just makes my life easier instead of stressing about it when I don’t know what to eat for dinner because I’m sure there’s always this dish as an option. I’ve also been feeling much healthier physically! So I definitely recommend this and I’m glad that someone explained this in a video :)

This is a great video! thanks so much! My main block with following advice like this is roommates, or in my case family. It's hard to reduce your carb intake or go of wheat when others in the household claim they can't live without it and insist on having it around. They don't want to make that change, and I'm obviously not going to try and force them, but it does make it a lot harder to alter your environment to reduce friction.

holy cow i have never been told stuff like this. like, i recognize and know these tips but they never stick in my head and i've never known how to apply them in the moment. like i was only taught last week that when you have a laundry list of unpleasant things to do, you should have a reward at the end, like watching an episode of your favorite show or reading a chapter of your favorite book. i basically have chronic burnout, and just the reward trick has helped me so much in the past week. and as someone who's brain ALWAYS takes the path of least resistance, reducing friction in my life will definitely be a game changer.

"progress is not all or nothing" love it. really needed to hear this. as someone who is a perfectionist i really don't even try things or just give up after few try beacuse it didn't turn out the way i imagined or wanted, my mind just goes like it's either all or nothing.

my goal for a while now has been to exercise every day and i've never been able to bring myself to actually exercise. i've watched countless motivation and self-discipline videos with the mindset that i should "just do it" no matter what. this is the first thing that removes resistance towards my goal and makes it feel actually possible and not so awful. thank you so much!

Wow you honestly have changed my perspective on things. I relied on motivation from my 7th grade all throughout til my sophomore year trying to prove to others and myself that I was capable of what they said I wasn’t. And it worked for the most part, but when I never got what I was looking for I spiraled and got sick. Then gained 20 pounds in just a month. Junior year my grades dropped from all A’s to B’s/C’s. And I don’t workout at all. I really appreciate this and hopefully I will bounce back

super helpful! i also find that doing tiny steps makes it easier like today i wasn't feeling like going for a run but i told myself i'll only put on my clothes, then i'll only stretch, then i'll only put on my shoes and then only walk out the door and eventually i was running and it was an awesome run so there's that

This is so true. I was always asking myself why do I stop all of a sudden to be more productive. Like I'm not Asian but I wanted to learn some recipes and It lasted for a month and I stopped looking for new recipes or eve to cook healthy food and I fell into a bad HABIT in not doing anything and being LAZY. And I really hate when that happens. So I need these things to become a HABIT like brushing your teeth when you wake up. I hope we succeed. Great video Zoe.
