hi. i have been using MOTO X play since last 18 months. few of my friends also purchased moto phones but we all have a problem of battery getting discharged fast and phone getting switched off at various % of battery like 53% 45% 38% 33% 23% 18% and 15% is dead battery. is this a common problem ? this is my 3rd Moto phone. pls respond. i have 5 MOTO phones in my home but am getting apprehensive for buying a new MOTO G5 Plus.

Record 4K video in low light indoor condition or outside at night time. You will see black stripes all over video. Could you check and confirm the same. Also my battery is draining a little fast. It lasts just 1 day with low - light medium use. I keep my brightness at 15-20% and background things are always unsynced. How long your battery last with medium usage? Thanks.

I've had mine for about a month and I'm quite pleased. $200 out the door for the 32GB model. The screen and processor speed are great. If you are looking for an android phone, this is a great option at any price (the fact that it's less than half the cost of the big name flagship phones is a bonus).

The camera and video camera are nice. With still photos, there is a "professional mode" that allows for a number of adjustments (ISO, white balance, etc.). I'm fairly certain that it films video at 1080p.

Okay peeps, I am a homeless guy in the damp PAC North West. I purchased my g5s plus in March of 2017. It is still working strong. The protruding cam has minor cosmetic mars. The gorilla glass has two little scratches on it, but the only way to see them is a dark screen. It's updated to the latest version of Android,at this time. The 8.1 Oreo. In the past I bought a dual speakered HTC one, beautiful phone,it lasted six months. Ouch, I paid 250 bux for that worthless thing. I can't say enough good things about this current smartphone I have, it's tuff. it works as good as the day I bought it, no buyers remorse. It's within two weeks of being heavily used for two straight years. I will definitely purchase this phone again. I do minimal maintenance, such as keep it cleaned on the exterior, and internally keep storage cleaned out. About 15 minutes a month.

I'm in need of a new phone so at first first I ordered the Nokia 6, but the WiFi antenna didn't pick up home 2g or 5 g signals, I'm returning that and ponying up a little extra to get the 64gb moto g5 plus. Hope it works better than the Nokia! :) Looks pretty decent for the price range with good features. Nice review, thanks Steven!

It's a very nice blower. Now if they kept that decent size screen, shrunk the bezels in the style of the Galaxy S8 and ditched the camera bump, there wouldn't be anything to complain about for the price, and it would be a nice manageable, easily pocketable size phone. Bonus. Maybe next time... but I'm not holding my breath.

RanmaBluRay Lenovo P2 is a pretty good phone. I think it's under $300, or close to. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is also pretty good, I've got one myself. You have to turn off MIUI optimisations though, a d you'll have to adjust to MIUI, other than that it's smooth, and battery lasts very long.
