Yup, it’s great that they are offering such things. No mention of price though. In theory it should be the same as any other paint.

As always with CCM: attractive bikes. But then being an international motorcycle brand involves importers, dealerships and parts as well ;-) The same is true for the Portugese brand AJP. But well worth a good look at motorcycle shows. Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg

I guess the difference is that CCM don't sell outside the UK and can just about keep up with the UK demand. AJP have some great bikes, but struggle to supply internationally. This has reduced the number of dealers and made it even harder. I love the AJP bikes, but they don't do scale very well.

CCM certainly produce some beautiful bikes. Are these just sold in the UK? Doesn't look like the exhausts are Euro 5 compliant.

I think they are UK only. I vaguely recall they even get a Euro5 exemption due to low volume or something like that, so I guess something will have to change for export.

Thanks for the review, looks like CCM have put in a big effort. Do you know if they've upgraded the fob to activate with a bit more range? Not sure about the round TFT, I guess the warning lights would be a bit more visible in direct sunlight. I also see they've dropped the red cam cover 🙁.

My guess is that the key fob is the same, (the motogadget mo.lock) unless there's something new as part of the new electrics system. I can ask them when I see them at the next show or when I'm in for a service. A friend of mine had ordered one, with the old dash, and when he enquired about the new one it was a £2000 premium. I do think the new dash looks better (the old one wasn't great), but then, I don't think I'd pay £2000 for it...

Wow, I'm certainly not £2000 worth of unhappy with the rectangular dash! I'd guess a lot of that will be the replacement bracketry to accommodate the round version.

I've been dreaming of getting a Heritage since it was announced, but sadly haven't been able to make the numbers add up. Hopefully I'll be able to before they've all been snagged by people richer than me. Wonder if the "roadster" rename is a move towards having an always available "production model" they can have in selected dealerships. Would certainly help sales if so.

The heritage is the pinnacle, but it is a lot to save a few kg, as everything else is the same (ok, the top spec!) as everything else. I think I have everything on mine that’s on the Heritage except for the Ohlins fork (which was a £2500 option… the Marzocchis are also quite good!) and I saved £20k 🤣

And yes about the Roadster. They’ve dropped the limited edition plates and sorted out their production, so now they make whatever the next order is rather thank having a few weeks making only bobbers, then mavericks, then six’s (roadsters) so the time from order to delivery is now weeks rather than months. I think they said 6-8 weeks which is a big improvement.

Yup, the 701 is a fine bike. The CCM’s do have their charm though. I guess both isn’t an option?! 🤣

Old Royal Enfield were British. New Royal Enfield are designed by RE owned Harris Performance in the UK, so yes, even without my videos the reality may apply! 😉

🤣 it was founded by Alan Clews in 1971. CCM stands for Clews Competition Machines I’m afraid. I suppose he could change his name, but after over 50 years, it’s a bit late for that.

I am German and have known CCM since the 70s. They have always built very nice motorbikes.
