I was just diagnosed Type 2 and prescribed Ozempic. The first 2 weeks were hell; I lost all interest in food and vomited every day. Be extremely mindful of your Blood Pressure. The Ozempic decreased my hypertension which had been medicated for years. Yesterday, ended up bedridden, with 80/50 -- MONITOR YOURSELF!

I was on mounjaro same experience as you described didn’t go away, so change to low doses Ozempic and that was the best decision I’ve ever made. Only a little nausea and overall feeling better..

Thanks for sharing. Glad you're feeling better. My doctor started me on the lowest dose of Ozempic. This is my 3rd week; I lost the nausea and am no longer taking blood pressure meds, but keeping a regular check on it to avoid future problems.@@Whore_May

Always start at the lowest dosage prescribed, then increase to next level after two months per your doctor's recommendation.-

I think they both work well in managing a patient's A1C if they have type 2 diabetes. From what I have seen Mounjaro can cause slightly more weight loss especially at higher doses. Both seem to be tolerated fairly well, but it is patient depended on which one will have fewer side effects.

Where have you been...??? In the 1950's everyone was on amphetamines during the day and barbiturates at night to force sleep. They were the "real" diet medications used for decades. Nobody got fat back then because they were either flying on uppers or knocked out. Drugs such as Valium were prescribed like they were TicTac candies clear into the 1990's.

If people were less sedentary and walked and exercised more, they wouldn't need any of these medications and save lots of money. I was OK when I was working on a daily basis but after I retired started gaining pounds. I'm 87 now.
