Hi Marty, as usual great riding and great scenery. You picked your lines very well on the trail. So glad you put this out, my Master is arriving this week. I sold my Hero a couple of weeks ago to make room for the Master as it seems to be redundant once I have the Master. I sold it to someone who would really enjoy it and I took an S18 as a trade-in to have a smaller nimbler wheel to complement the Master and I previously really enjoyed the S18.

I wonder how that would do with a heavy rider. I remember having to stop and let my MSP HT cool down so frequently on that ride that I was the last one (that didn't break) to make it to the lunch area. I'll never forget that ride. It is one of my favorite rides of all time and I've rode almost everywhere in the U.S.

I have just bought the Master, it has not arrived yet. Have been chatting about the assertion that riding up and down hills, provides more range than doing the same distance on the flat at the same speed. I have defined that as: "The additional power required over the flat to go up the gradient, is less than the additional power being generated, coming down (for argument say the same route, and the same speed)". It's certainly hilly here in Cornwall, UK. I may have to put this to the test, maybe on the Master :-) I like these sorts of assertions, because they are counter intuitive, I hate mysteries :-) Ever heard of the "Monty Hall Problem" and Marilyn Von Savant? Perhaps Shaun (DUF) will notice the difference if he does your Mountain Tour

You "could" but probably shouldn't lol. Its kind of fragile and you dont want to constantly worry about breaking your expensive wheel and slowing your learning progress. Just remember that buying a beginner wheel isn't a waste because its easy to sell off to another new rider. You can probably find a V8F used if you look around. I paid $1300 for my beginner wheel and sold it about 6 months later for $750. The difference was absolutely worth the months of fun and the learning experience. Just start with something good enough that you can have fun on and go at least 15mph for at least 15 miles. Slower might sound ok but its not. 😄 Buy cheap but not junk. And keep in mind the range and speed numbers listed on websites are under the best conditions with a light rider. You will get less.

WHat is the diffrence between the master pro and master. What is the range on the master with average speed !
@ElectricUnicycles2 жыл бұрын
We're not sure why they called it the Master Pro since there's not much relationship between the two. The Master Pro is a 22-inch wheel with 4800wh of battery vs the 20-inch 2400wh Master. Those are the major differences. The Master is a ~45-mile wheel when ridden hard. Depending on your riding style you could get 25-miles or 65-miles

what do you think the weight limit is for trail riding and hilly areas? I'm a bigger guy. Would it struggle with say being 6'2", 240lbs riding weight? I don't see a lot of big guys riding these. how much does your gear weigh? AWESOME video.
@ElectricUnicycles2 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of big guys such as yourself riding these. My gear (including backpack) is 25+ pounds. The key is to have a powerful wheel.
@Jaebird822 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles Thanks. I weigh more than 240 right now. Had a bad year last year. But the year before I lost 80lbs in 10 months just hiking with my dog and got down to 199lbs. I hike where you ride, or a little lower down in the San Gabriels. So let's say I weigh 240 + 25 = 265. You think the Master is up for the challenge for trail riding up to Wilson and other peaks in the area? 240 isn't my goal weight. I want to get back down to 200. 190 would be my goal weight. Just looking for something fun to get me back up there in the mountains while I lose some weight.
@ElectricUnicycles2 жыл бұрын
@@Jaebird82 Do you ride EUC's now? Many people end up losing weight once they start riding because believe it or not, riding can be a workout, especially on trails. There might be a better wheel choice but absolutely they can handle your weight.

@@ElectricUnicycles I don't. I've never ridden one, but I'm pretty good at learning anything with a wheel or more. I can ride a regular unicycle haha. What other wheel would you recommend?
