No source of collagen/gelatin like bone broth or at least hydrolyzed collagen supplement? I think one of the biggest issues with bodybuilding diet is that it is very high in amino acids like methionine and very low in glycine from connective tissues of animals.. The body uses up glycine to process methionine. So even when the body can synthesize some glycine it is not enough to balance methionine especially if you eat just muscle meat and no collagen which is 30% glycine... Also Methionine is inflammatory amino acid and glycine is anti inflammatory amino acid.. So if you eat for 30 years just huge amounts of muscle meat and don't supplement with things that have glycine. You will have systemic inflammation and also your body can't produce all the collagen and elastin it needs.. You can just mix hydrolyzed collagen with whey protein or you can also take just amino acid glycine. It has sweet taste. I like it in a tea. Also it is calming amino acid. 3g before bad is great.. I think that 200lb guy who eats like 250g of protein from meat, eggs etc. should have in the diet at least 10g of glycine. Ideally like 15-20g for athlete... So it is maybe 30g of hydrolyzed collagen which is around 10g and another 5-10g from just pure glycine powder.. Like I said glycine = anti inflammatory, calming, essential for glutathione, bile production, collagen synthesis.. People are taking things like glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin etc. for joints but they lack the most important thing the building block amino acid glycine... No I am not obsessed with glycine. I am just saying.. :)

Great info brother

Excellent point sir ! Collagen and glycine are way underrated
@jirihutecka90205 жыл бұрын
@@samshethar7617 I don't know what you talking about. I just said that it is a good idea to consume protein sources high in glycine if you want bodybuild in healthy way. Most bodybuilders would say collagen is waste product with zero use in bodybuilding. So maybe something like my post can help someone to understand that it is not the case..

a really good breakfast that works for me is 1.5 scoops of whey protein powder, 150ML while fat milk, 2 eggs, scoop of oats and 50-100 grams of fage yogurt. Blend it and fry it on a pan and it’s basically kind of a big pancake
