We take the once ratty (pun intended) interior of the mustang and make it new again! We also finish up the other work required for it to be safe and ship it out to its new owner who will continue to restore it.

When the guy was loading up the car hauler, I could almost smell the sweet exhaust small through the computer!

Hey Old Car. You know that is one problem that I have never had. I've had old cars/trucks in my shop for over 20 years now and have never had mice problems. And I live in the country. I get nice in my house, but not in my old cars in the shop. I have always put mothballs around the car on the floor of my shop. I use to put them in the car, but it took a month to get rid of the smell. I just hope that I didn't jinx myself by saying anything. Thanks for sharing. 🍁👍👍

This happened before we had it. Pretty sure our shop is good for no mice. In the storage barn we do the moth balls and dryer sheets… how knows if they truly work though. I’ve seen mice nests where I didn’t think they’d be able to get into. The worst is when they get in frame rails or inside the cowl, the bedding gets wet and it’s game over… let the rust begin

Just need to be careful of the balls are highly corrosive. Another good trick is ment oil on a Cotton ball placed in the car they hate the menthol vaper.

Thanks for the upholstery tips. Im currently restoring and also trying to video document my 68 and the seats are identical minus the headrest. I'll be coming back to this video when i get to the seats👍cherish the time you have with the old man, it's precious. Lost mine 2 years ago.

Hey man "mice" video.. ya know you're to use the old rods over in the new seats covers. I'm doing the TMI Sport 2 foam for just the buckets, going black with green stitching.. maybe in future try using a heat gun to help fit the cover if it's given you any problems. Over all great video, Looking forward to seeing more.

Hello, thank you lol. Unfortunately the original seat material rods were in terrible shape (one was even rotted in half) so went with the same gauge welding filler material. Also, ended up letting the seats sit out in the sun to remove some of the small wrinkles but a heat gun is a good idea. All in all happy with the results for my first ever upholstery work.

Nice Job on the seat covers. I am in the middle of my seat cover struggle on my 71 challenger at the moment. The smell of old seat foam is impossible to describe 😉 It's a good thing stains can't tell their stories.

Thank you, pretty happy with how they came out for my first time ever doing upholstery. 71 challenger, killer ride! Are you following along with Bryce Colds challenger build? Hahaha yes, definitely a good thing…😅😂

Yes, I actually discovered his channel yesterday, and I binge watched the challenger episodes. I have changed the entire floors in mine. All new interior. Bought the car in 2008,and have been working on it slowly over the years. Hope to have it ready this summer. Thank you for giving gearheads all over the world good KZbin content 😀

Nice work on the seats and the interior in general. Looks really nice. The end result looks great. Love the older '60s Mustangs. Cannot lie....love them all. Happy New Years to you and yours. Look forward to seeing more. Be safe and stay well.

Happy New Year! Great video, I find doing seat work like that enjoyable, never done it on a classic, only modern cars to replace heated seat elements. That Mustang sounds healthy!

I've always wondered this, do you canadians get pissed when you get American change at a store as bad as us Americans get pissed when we get stuck with canadian coins in our change? Lol!
@Theoldcarchannel.
@Theoldcarchannel. Жыл бұрын
Haha Canadian stores don’t care (probably because it’s worth more). But we also don’t use Pennys here anymore so when we get American pennys they’re pointless here.

We also don’t have 1 dollar bills (we have 1 dollar coins [Loonie], as well as 2 dollar coin [toonie]. Which I think is smart cause I’m in the states now and these 1 dollar bills are getting ridiculous 😅 time to go to a strip club 😂😂😂
