Baked Alaska is a classic dessert that I even made as a kid in the U.S. It's an elevated version here with the orange liquor but basically it's ice cream at its center with an outer layering of meringue and baked in the oven. When done correctly the ice cream doesn't melt (it is sealed by the meringue) but you must also get a nice browning of edges on your meringue to be proper. If you don't know the technique to do this and put it in the oven you'll end up with milk soup on a pan

How you butchered your cheese at the start of the video! I am crying to see that. I would recommend not to spread your cheese like you did. Cut a small piece of cheese, put it in your mouth and then put a small piece of bread in your mouth and eat together. Or if you want to spread your cheese, which you can, cut a *small* piece of bread and put a bit of cheese on it. It must be bite-size. Anyway, glad to see you enjoying food in my country. The oysters and seafood in Brittany looked amazing!
