I'm from the Middle East and one of my favorite lentil dishes is called, mujaddara. It is lentils and rice seasoned with cumin and topped with crispy onions and, served a fresh tomato, cucumber salad.

I use lentils all the time! I don't eat processed meat substitutes. Eat beans daily. I cook my lentils in vegetable broth, with tomato paste, sofrito: an aromatic blend of onions, bell peppers, sweet peppers, garlic, cilantro, recao, add bay leaves, seasoning included cumin, oregano, salt and pepper. When tender I like to add olives, capers and roasted red peppers. Yum!

I love lentils. A month or so ago I tried red lentil tortillas. Just soaked red lentils and water blended then pan fried like crepes. You can add seasonings but I kept it simple. Very tasty just a little bland since I hadn't seasoned them. Would be a great wrap for veggie sandwiches with hummus or avocado

I shred zucchini and carrot, chop onion, cook it all with green lentils in the presure cooker with water, veggie broth powder and some (maybe 1 cup) tomato sauce (or you can just add a whole big tomato and mush in at the end). Really good and simple.

We love lentils over here, also! We make a lentil/quinoa mixture, to substitute for ground meats. I’ll now add walnuts, another household fave, to our Jamaican Patties, enchiladas, cabbage rolls, etc. The possibilities are endless, with lentils.

@@Kimberly86888 , it’s going to have more of a consistency of ground meat, so there’s no “binding” necessary. I could imagine using a flax “egg”, could provide it for recipes where you’d want it to hold together. Everything I listed, has the mixture “wrapped” in another component of the meal. I hope you have good success with your attempts!

So here's the thing yeah? I'm a 31 y/o who has had to change his diet up from finding out that I might be facing lifelong pancreatits. I'm not super stoked about it as I am going to have to cut a lot of things out of my current diet I love , so I am trying new things. For example, Lentils. Now what is better than a video about a topic I'm not currently super stoked about (Yet i agree with the title, these recipes are mouth watering) you may ask? The fact you introduced this video with the backing track to my absolute, most favourite song of all time because it reminds me of growing up around the dinner table with loved ones, friends and family. Eating great meals together. Making lasting memories. And during the part of my childhood that looking back two and a half decades later thinking of the simpler times in life and how I am so thankful for them! Thank you so much for this video! Lentils are love❤my favourite (red) lentil dish: 1. Sautee onion and carrot in some oil 2. Add diced tomatoes, red lentils and boiling water 3. Let simmer until the lentils are almost cooked 4. Add lemon juice, soy sauce and frozen broccoli florets 5. Finish off with peanut butter and serve with rice ❤🍚 Also lentil salads😍😍

I love lentil sprouts! I'm not a vegan (yet) but I love my lentil sprouts. So fresh and crunchy. Eat them early before they start to get leaves. They get bitter then. Put them in the fridge to stop sprouting once little shoots come out. Or eat them all right away and start a new batch. 😊

Lentils are just about the best thing in the world! We use green or brown lentils in our vegan version of a Scottish classic called stovies, it's almost like cornbeef hash. Basically potatoes, onions and lentils cooked together in stock and mashed with little soy sauce and seasoning for extra flavour 🤤👌

I will definitly try all these recipes, especially the burrito bowl looks so yummy 😋 my favorite lentil dish is rice and lentil porridge with peanut butter it's so easy and comforting I love it. Just cook the lentils with the rice and vegetable cube bouillon in the rice cooker then when it's done add peanut butter or even almond butter and it looks gross and mushi but I swear it's the best thing ever
