That Pat thing would have been funny for ONE 5-minute sketch. But SNL ran it to the ground, and then they made a movie. I have no idea why anyone thought that was a good idea.

1987's "The Garbage Pail Kids Movie" counts, too. Upon its release, offended parents launched a nationwide protest against the film, resulting in it being pulled from theaters after only a few weeks in circulation. 2015's "Jem and the Holograms", 2003's "Gigli", 2002's "Swept Away", and 1981's "Honky Tonk Freeway" also fit the category.

The funny thing is that in today's climate the right is still as obsessed with people needing to be one gender only and the left is like "it's an androgynous person? So what?" From what I remembered the funniest "joke" was when Pat was running around telling all the people that were trying to find out the character's gender that "last night I played with The Ween" referring to playing with the band Ween. It's been like 30 years since I've seen it though so I could be misremembering it.

In my opinion, Max Steel wasn’t a bad film! And for The Flash, that had its own controversy regarding Ezra Miller which was well known before the film was released! It was also a huge departure for what Zack Snyder envisioned for the character! It was not a bad film, but it did leave a bad taste for everyone that knew what happened in regard to what was going on with Ezra Miller!
@theturnup9671

I personally liked Max Steel. Not sure why and how it did poorly. In fact, i know quite a few people who also liked it so I'm not sure what the issue was with it underperforming at the box office. In terms of the Flash, I liked that movie as well. I didn't pay attention or care about the personal controversy surrounding Ezra Miller and was able to enjoy the movie. I don't believe that one actor's personal issues should derail an entire film that was made through the efforts of a whole cast and crew.

Max steel was cheeply made, based on then most recent cartoon series. One of the things that annoyed me the most was how little they adapted. Most side charcters dont appear. The heroic organization Max Steel works with, an organization that uses advanced tech reversed engineered from aliens and they were preparing for a ALIEN INVASION, were more like a mercenary group with only real world military tech. And Max Steel had the ability to shift into multiple power suits. Only the base suit appeared.... with it using the powers of the other suits. Cheap and unfaithful, with predictable writing. No wonder it failed.

I liked Max Steel. It's not the best superhero movie out there, but it tried better than the other two later on the list. Morbius was only saved by the memes about it (and failed due to the director not reading between the lines - referencing that poor choice into rereleasing it). The Flash is just a nostalgia trap; which most films in the genre try to keep the genre afloat. Some work while others fail, or worse, it becomes a bad meme.

2:25 Seeking Justice or as it was retitled here in the UK, JUSTICE is sadly not that bad a movie... It is VERY FLAWED - Roger Ebert wasn't wrong to criticise the story and script as it is a bit nonsensical, but it had an idea that could have worked... ( I mean, Its a Secretive organisation... There is something to be said for NOT letting the Audience know how they work - We are supposed to view things as the Protagonist does and be as clueless as they are!) I will say its NOT a great film, Watch it once and you may never go back to it... Its not forgettable enough that you woudl need to rewatch it, but also not memorable enough to want to rewatch it... 5:34 BLACK HAT - I am going to actually offer a defence to teh Director... he may be right about Marketing as I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS MOVIE AT ALL and it is a Movie I woudl have been interested in seeing back then as I was fascinated by "Hacking" (Never been a hacker, I just found the whole idea fascinating!) ... The first Movie on tis list I can say I have NEVER HEARD OF!

With Batman v Superman and Live by Night both being poorly received. Ben Affleck couldn't catch a break that year.

I haven’t seen it yet but people sure seem to like that Longlegs movie that just came out. Cage is still bankable here and there. Leto though? That one stumps me.

Live by Night was a good book, and the movie was decent in my opinion. Ben Affleck was just awful in it, and because he was the main character he was in every scene unfortunately.

Seriously ? peeps didn't like Ghost Rider or Morbius ? I used to read those comics when i was a teen or less. I am 60 now. I guess that peeps don't know them. One of the greatest characters that would make more movies than Indiana Jones, is Mister No. Italian made comic series, from the 70's to 2012. And he is NOT a super hero, just an ordinary guy.
