Dave would have been PERFECT if he were cast as the acting role of the beekeeper in Matthew McConaughey's movie Amaziah king. Its being filmed in AL. They were looking for a strong beefed up adult male strong from handling beehives for YEARS. He has the southern accent, experience, and he'd have represented beekeepers well. Darn it Dave!! Wish Id have sent your info to them when they were doing casting calls. The role is being filmed in late July/August. Maybe its not too late.

I have split some 5 frame nucs into double 2 frame mating nucs. Once the queens have mated and are ready for a bigger box is there anything you do to minimize the number of foragers that return to the place where the 2 frame mating nuc used to be? Great videos. Thanks

I always leave the weaker of the 2, or close up the one that is moved with hardware cloth for a day. Some will go back, but not many.
