16 cars of logs for LP plus that 1 empty centerbeam that could very well have been a car of lumber that was unloaded in Crivitz. Between the derailment and the holiday week there is no normal to the schedule anymore. LP should have one more large batch of loads to come South and the odds are high Alter is ready for more empties. Never a dull day and we thank you for the Speedy Pursuit in the snow. That was a nice head-on view by the old union hall with the stormy skies. Thankfully that switch was lined and locked for the Main!

Those videos with snow are so nice to see! We were supposed to be 45 minutes of the Soo this week, but too much snow between Gaylord and our destination forced postponement. With all the wood that goes north, it's amazing that the UP has any standing trees left 😊 4-5" in the northern Thumb.

Great video Jason. I live in Utica,NY and we have only received a couple of inches of snow so far this winter. But Copenhagen,NY in Lewis County received 65.9 inches of snow from the storm that hit Buffalo.

Very very nice Video! I’m watching from Maine, got a small amount of snow last night, more predicted for today but 35 degrees here! Less than 2 inches in my section of Central Maine! Saw some past Locomotives of the ELS and they have had several of the SD9’s. Not sure if Razor Blades now or what! They all had the same paint scheme. Not sure what date of seeing the Locomotives from the past!

Has a cause been determined? Some jump to the conclusion that it's the track. There could be other causes, such as a grade crossing collision or a problem with a truck or wheelset.

Where do they hold all that pulpwood? The mill doesn't appear to have enough rail length to hold pulpwood and centerbeams. google Earth needs updated? here in Texas we rarely get any snow, and if we do, it melts really quick. Stay warm.
