The reason why pokemon games don’t hit the same is because the difficulty has been dumbed down. The other reason is pokemon tends to aim their product and games at kids, they really need to release a game that is aimed at a large part of their audience…… adults. A game with a nice in depth story and a few more grown up features would be nice and would hit the spot.

Scarlet/Violet could have been great, but they needed more time to cook. Graphics before everything else need improvement. 3 FPS, strange shadow behavior, Pokemon that are stuck in the ground/walls... I liked the story and characters though. Arceus was some nice fresh air to the series. But it had its own flaws. Characters having not more than 3 animations or facial expressions for example. No compas, no way to easily sort your Pokemon. I'm sure with ZA they improve a lot. On one hand, Scarlet/Violet are now the best selling Pokemon games ever (in Japan at least). On the other, because of the backlash regarding the state the games released in, Nintendo had to post an appoligy to the players. Not only will the next mainline game release on the next gen console, it will also be Generation 10 of Pokemon. GameFreak/Nintendo have to deliver with this one. And I believe they will.

pokemon needs some overall quality of life improvements. for instance difficulty mode and skippable tutorials. the game is not for children only. its for young and old and these two features should be obvious for modern games considering most games have these two features implemented. the PvE mode is absolutly terrible. you have 5 seconds to find a lobby or the lobby is full. the game needs 30 seconds before it realizes the lobby is full and to get kicked back to lobby and refreshing the options for a terra fight takes around 2-3 minutes. the fight itself is due to p2p very laggy. the games have potential but they should start to improve the basics, and not try to force themselves with new features.

I honestly think that they dropped the ball on the terror raids. I really think that they should have just kept them like the dynamax raids just with terastalization instead of dynamax. It would have been perfectly fine but now you have all these bugs and timer that is just bugged to all hell, it's horrible and sad.

I do too. :) They’ve never had the criticisms of violet and scarlet levied at them before, bc save for Arceus, it’s always been fine pixelated games. People are acting as if game freak doesn’t learn from mistakes, but they’ve never made THESE mistakes. Like damn give them a chance to prove you wrong

Personally, my favorite Pokémon game has to be ultra Sun and ultra Moon because it actually taught me hard work does pay off because I worked with someone stripping fabric off couches to earn the money to get those games I bought both games because I want the exclusive Pokémon within ultra sun. it was painful I had to lift couches and when taking the fabric off the couches as I sometimes end up cutting myself because I either end up picking out the nails or staples. They’re deep within the wood that requires me to apply a great amount of force to remove them, which causes it to slip out of my hand and accidentally cut myself. The blood and sweat was worth it because I enjoyed those games till the end of the day,afternoon and night

I would love to see that the Switch 2 will have a dual screen just like a DS and 3DS what would respect DS's 20th anniiversary dude DS is surprisilly old and that was my childhood's first handheld console and console I've ever get when I was only 6 years old kid am I old too? It would make Pokémon games feel a classic and good again to having a dual screen and changes everything! The console's name would be Super Nintendo Switch 2025: Here we goo wahoo! 😊❤

Thank you for calling to attention that Breath of the Wild and Pokémon are not the same. Pokémon has literally dozens and dozens of sprites to fill in, PLUS each of those sprites has textures, because Pokémon fans just had to have actual hair or actual scales etc. Breath of the Wild has none of that. I’m not a game dev, but you don’t have to be to know that logically Pokémon’s world takes more processing.

That was the best thing about the game and a lazy statement just cause the graphics weren't great. That's like saying if this games graphics were polished the graphics and story were great but they're not the same thing, one thing can be good and the other not.

It doesn’t matter if Nintendo’s next Consol had better power than the PS five gamefreak is a terrible developer and has been behind the curve for a very very long time. Pokémon fans are just finally waking up to it. For reference dragon quest monsters joker, which came out on the original Nintendo DS was for 3-D monsters, were all actually in the world space one Pokémon we’re still doing to the sprites and the game from dragon quest that came out on the DIAZ, somehow looks better than Pokémon on the 3DS. Scarlet and violet, not only ran terribly, but walking voice acting lacking, basic features, like proper clothing customization and then legitimately the graphics look like they belong on the Nintendo game cube, nothing Nintendo switch. Especially when you consider that the switch basically has the power of a Xbox 360 it’s insane how badly those games looked and ran.
