Ben Franklin visits a boy in a dream sequence while teaching him about saving in this MST3K video. It's awesome, especially with their comments. I assume this was a 1950s educational film.

I just realized, in these kinds of shorts we usually get a flash-forward near the end or something that shows us how the knowledge presented in this short helped the main character, but in this short, all we get is the main character talking his dad into giving him the extra money he needed. For all we know, the budget didn't help him at all, and he'll continue wasting his money and borrowing from his dad

Willian could just as easily bludgeoned dad and taken the money for the dance , than taken his car. After the dance he could have fled to Mexico to work as a jobber for lady wrestlers.
