Besides, I have never thought of the Sun and Moon Champion theme as Kukui’s theme but rather the player’s theme because when you beat Kukui, you become Alola’s first champion and then other characters challenge you using that theme

I appreciate how well distinct Lance's & Red's theme are since they previously shared the same theme Lance's theme has a lot of pzaz & is grandious because he is the champion, not to mention a master of dragons so it's like you're fighting in a collosium with a huge audience While Red's theme is more isolated, a softer carry through a violin since your battleground isn't in a stadium, but a top of a mountain with no witness in sight, a very personal 1 v 1

I like how Wallace's theme gives off a more elegant vibe along with more bombastic highs. Really reflects his character and the differences between him and Steven who is more reserved and calculating

I really freaking loved Wallace's theme. It's really poetic and beautiful, if that makes sense. Suits him very well. This coming from someone who was salty that Wallace replaced Steven as Champion and doesn't care much about him even now Also, Kukui's theme is just so Kukui. Makes me think of like an uncle/older brother figure

Dianthas og theme was special because it managed to be terrifying and scary despite it not having a masculine sound. People kind of blow Diantha off but as far as the og versions of their respective games she’s the highest leveled Champion.

@@AnonDudeBro Diantha's original track was fire and the S tier track for me besides Cynthia, the latter because how perfectly distressing, terrifying and quivering it sounded for the difficult battle. This Diantha's theme was still great. But I was genuinely disappointed by Iris’ theme. The original sounded better than Ex version.

Very often, many themes in Pokémon are accused to build up lately ( like Leon's original theme ) or being too slow ( many Gen 3 themes like Route 113 which sounds even better at 2x ) But Wallace's theme in Masters Ex is just completely opposite; they knew they had to include portions of Gen 3 Champion theme, but, as you said, the Violins sounded so gorgeous! They should have increased the Violin part a bit more and then add Gen 3 Champion theme but that's my opinion. I could easily see this theme being one of the best themes of all time but they threw this opportunity a bit. Still a great track though.

I think the main goal was just the core champion stuff, like, just the 1-1 from the og to their masters one, so just taking the main champion theme and not the other stuff, hence why Renegade Cynthia theme isnt in, and she's heard Renegade Cynthia theme ( we kinda got her to on stream) and if you're curious, her take was " just as good if not better than Volo" and Volo is ranked as on of the highest tier themes.

On Kukui's theme not being "scary" here, there's two reasons for that!: 1) Kukui is genuinely one of the least threatening Champion-level Trainers as a person, so an intimidating track just wouldn't fit him. 2) The original Battle at the Summit! Theme isn't actually Kukui's- it's the player's! What reason do you have to be afraid of yourself? On an unrelated note, I love how all of the actual remixed parts of Wallace's theme feel closer to the original RSE track than their counterparts in Steven's take do. He only has Emerald to work with, after all~

I want to say here though, that I recently just replayed this video again and again, like I played it 3 to 4 months ago, but the more I listen to all of these themes I found something different than the moment I listen to their originals. I found myself disappointing listen to these themes as I thought, the originals shows their team is powerful, and it’s leaded by their respective skilled trainers such as Cynthia, Lance, and more. But for Master EX remixes, I found these themes ONLY shows how powerful the champions/trainers are, but some of these themes lacks of the involvement of their team and Pokémon. It’s just doesn’t make me feel like their Pokémon partners by their side… only trainers themselves, like they’re alone…I don’t know… help. Or maybe I’ll listen to what y’all would think??
