The last 3 albums are the best albums of their career. Then the Jonny Craig stuff. The early days of Tilian are alright...just stay away from the self titled album. Very rough time for the band and it just isn't good lol. Mothership I'd say is the bands crowning achievement. Once Tilian lost the thin whininess of his early days and got that signature rasp he has now, the whole bands been firing on all cylinders. Mothership, artificial selection, afterburner.... killed their whole discography with these 3 recent albums.

Tillian has been such a powerhouse in terms of vocals for DGD. He's one of those incredibly unique vocalists that you can just recognize immediately upon hearing it. Same goes for Jon, his screams are just amazing. Especially for them both to be in the range they are and yet still sound so almost raspy and strained, while as you said still being so clean and wonderful. Love to see people experiencing DGD, such a unique flavor of music. Loved the video and your musical take on it.
@MeTakingAStand3 жыл бұрын
Jonny was a powerhouse too, and Kurt makes great music. DGD has had some excellent vocalists, and it's really no surprise that they've managed to stay successful despite so much turnover at frontman.

Love DGD! I have to say, what i love most about them is their harsh fusion between clean vocals and dirty vocals blended in with instrumentals that are somewhere in between. Honestly, it's like cooking a well balanced meal - you get a mixture of little things to create something just pheromonal. Love the reactions! Some others you may like: Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most, We Own The Night, and Head Hunter.

I remember seeing a comment on the original music video about how Jon represents the conscious and wanting your happiness and being carefree of life, and Will represents all of your worries and stress and bad things. Essentially tilian being so hyper focused on catching the bad guy, will, he’s losing hold of what’s important in life, or what matters. And the airplane is just a representation of traveling through life. Idk if that’s what they meant with the video but when I read that comment it really made the song mean that much more to me.
