🤣🤣😅 Actually that was my wife and I really did call her. As for your previous point, I can only talk from experience. Sure, you can disagree and you are free to do so, but I can only be honest about the items I share and how I feel about them, for me to do otherwise would be disingenuous. Besides, why would I share or spend my free time making a video about things I loathe for an EDC, it would make no sense and would not be beneficial to my audience who only deserve the best. In your honour, todays pinned comment of shame goes to you! Thank you for watching, sending lots of virtual hugs and love your way. Onwards, upwards and best regards! TGV

@@theurbangentry Truth be told, I'm a long time viewer & a fan, you've educated many including myself about the art & commerce in horology. I'll also confess your response surprised the sh#t out of me (in a good way) as your words displayed class & wisdom, they reiterated your integrity, public image awareness & media savviness, kudos! That was the voice of "OG TGV" this community Knows & Loves! You have my utmost respect for your body of work🙏(except for this one 😉 stylistically speaking x tone wise, you are capable of MUCH better). In any case, I'm glad my "troll-ish" satirical comment got your attention & I simply wish to serve a friendly reminder of the importance to maintain, mature & refine the essence that made your channel great in the first place. While I'm no expert in digital content creations, as a published author + screenwriter (e.g. fancy titles for professional bullshitter) & bespoke watchmaker, I can't help myself but to point out the obvious - Oversaturation of watch channels had diluted many for the sake of KZbin Algorithm Gods. My most worn watch this year has been the Pepsi 5KX. Last month me and my wife went on a trip to Italy and in one days we visited Milano, after visiting the sights she insisted we go to the Seiko boutique (I didn't put on much of a fight). Thanks to my very generous wife I ended up with a SRPE93K1 turtle and since then it never left my wrist. Now, the reason she insisted so much is that last Christmas we took a trip to Firenze, where she got some nice Chiarugi gifts, I wanted to get a watch but ultimately I chose not to, because I wanted her to be happy. I guess she wanted to return the favor this time. The turtle I got then became my most cherished and special watch, I even named it Milano, so I always remember where my wife got me the best gift ever.

You're a fascinating man, TGV. My most worn watch lately has been the Seiko SNJ037P. I fact, I had an issue with it, and when Seiko quoted me 12 to 16 weeks to repair, I was devastated. Thankfully, it was back on my wrist within the fortnight and hasnt left it. Black, chunky, solar and a capable dive watch.

Such great content, TGV. We miss you here in Philly, but if you’re going to move up the coast, NYC is the place to be. 😎👍🏼 Most worn in 2024: Grand Seiko SBGA467 - glossy inky black dial, 40mm, 12.3 thick, 100m w/r, spring drive, etc. Excellent alternative to the Explorer. Insanely comfortable. Also, my Nomos Club Sport Neomatic 42 in Blue. Elegant and sporty at once. 10mm thick, 300m w/r, gorgeous sunray blue dial, beautifully finished in-house movement.

Thanks for a great video, as always! I bought my first “big” watch-a TAG Heuer Aquaracer-as a wedding gift to myself back in 2008. However, it’s only in the past year or so that I’ve really started to dive into the world of watches, learning about their history and discovering brands I’d never heard of before. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the work you put into your content-it’s helped ignite a new passion and appreciation for horology. I feel like I’m just at the beginning of this journey. Recently, I’ve started with the classics, including a Casio F-91W (which I bought for both my kids and myself) and a DW-290, both of which I love for different reasons. What’s next? Who knows-maybe a classic Cartier Tank or the iconic “Arnie” watch! There are so many incredible timepieces out there 🤣.

Nice update! My most worn watch the first half of the year was an IWC Pilot Mark XX. The 2nd half of the year, the pink Tudor. Yes, I got the call. I was on the fence. But when I tried it on, and really looked at the dial, I caved in, and enjoy wearing it. I do rotate between those two today, and I smuggle a few others in. I wear a Nomos Tangente quite often, or one of numerous Seiko Cocktail Times that I completely adore. As a beater watch, I wear a Tudor FXD on an Erika’s MN strap from Holben’s.

Thanks for another great video, I love your class and style. One thing I do think is missing is the mandatory requirement for men to be the protector of the family and society in general. Sometimes you need to fight and for a gentleman, the fight will usually be forced upon you, as it is always better to walk away if possible or moral to do so. Combat focused martial arts and knife/gun proficiency is a must IMHO. You are physically fit which should be the goal of every gentleman, but more is required. TGV, always delivers. The EDC items are fun to see what gets lived with and what doesnt. Sunglasses by Persol - cant go wrong. Have been keeping an ultraviolet flashlight tethered to my keychain forever; Sunglasses by Jacques Marie Mage have been the go-to for a few years now; monogrammed RFID-blocking wallet by Kings Loot replaced the one I've had for 26 years; but cant say I even know which watch has dominated this year since I grabbed a half dozen new ones on the journey to age equivalent number of watches in the collection - but the new annual cal has been competing with the others for some extra wrist time lately. Pure class fratello. O&U

Good morning sir. Just chilling out in style with your video while the wife has gone to get her nails done 😂 I can't think what my most worn watch is, apart from my Garmin Fenix 7X Solar Sapphire. It's always on my right wrist, and then I wear a proper watch on my left. I have several straps for my Garmin and pair them up with a paracord bracelet, but certainly not one costing more than £10. David Zaritsky is certainly into his Omega sailing bracelet. Crazy money for what it is! I had to force myself to take off the RMII as I was neglecting my other watches 😅 Absolutely love it. I've recently got some bund straps to try it on. I recently re-did my EDC keys. My dad's leather key case that I inherited was starting to wear, so I got myself some carabiners and split rings and multitool gadgets, just cheap ones from Aliexpress. You can get some good stuff if you search around. Onwards sir 🇬🇧👍🏻

Hey TGV, the friend of mine who already bought the 10 year old Daytona now purchased a Cartier Santos for himself and a Tank for his wife. When he told me about the boutigue I fantasized about the sales assistant answering calls by some Mountbatten guy asking questions about high end watch editions. 😉

As always great video sir. I'm with you with the jotter. Writing notes at work using one just makes you smile. You should try Soundcore p3i wireless earbuds. I was like you I refused to leave wired, but the 3i are great. Great sound, good battery and no more accidental pull outs. Hope you are still enjoying New York my friend

I own a fisher bullet pen for 10 years plus and its still running well on the same cartridge and the bonus is its such a nice feel when writing with it. Love your sun glasses such a great look esp the hinge part. Headphones I tend to buy Bowers and Wilkins these have such a great sound signature , I might be biased as I am a fanboy for the brand , very hard to find wired headphones but could probably find online like the B&W C5 in your ear or the on your ear P3 , but recently bought the fantastic PX7 series 2 wow these are so good such a clean sound that sound good with any genre they even last a long time 30 hours and at a 15 min charge with give you 7 hrs how amazing even can use a lead for those old ipods

Link for the bracelets please TGV! Thank you for another awesome video, I’ve been a long time watcher but not a huge commenter. I love your videos and you’ve introduced me to all the watches in my limited slowly growing collection for years now

I’ve been rotating between my Hamilton Murph 38mm, my Lorier Neptune SIV and my newest watch the Marathon GSAR 41mm. Loving them all! I typically carry my Benchmade 940 Osborne and my Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA. I usually have my Leatherman Wave+ on my belt as well. The only “jewelry” I wear is my wedding ring and an Alaskan Walrus tooth “Billiken” on a leather cord. The Billiken has an interesting backstory. You should look it up! Mine was carved by Andrew Kunayak, Sr.. A member of the Inupiaq people in Alaska. Thanks for the video! Pure class, as always!!! O&U

TGV speaking Italian and then dropping a calm ‘muah’ at the end? That absolutely destroyed me, haha!

This summer my Casios have had a lot of wrist time. Two of my favorites have been the DW290 and the W218h. The 218 is a watch that looks like a GShock square but only cost less than $15 and is very thin. I got an olive drab color that goes with about everything. As the months have gotten colder I switched over to my SARB 033 with a leather strap to its original Seiko bracelet. I love the oyster bracelet look of the Seiko bracelet. I’ve been looking for a dive watch, after looking at a dozen micro brands. I made a uturn and came back to Seiko. I have my eye focused on the Seiko SPB453. Though I had considered the SRPL13 which looks very similar to the 453. That some people have incorrectly called it a new Samurai. Seiko just decided to have two similar looking watches at totally different price points. Now if I could only get a deal on the 453😂

Fun fact about your Breitling Aerospace. There's a Japanese video game, 428: Shibuya Scramble is a visual novel adventure, with real actors. And the main character, a police officer, wears this watch

For headphones, you can’t go wrong with the KZ ES4! They are wired and you can pick if you want a mic or not! Highly recommended!

My most worn watch was Navitimer 46 and secondly Rolex Deepsea. In third place Breitling SuperOcean. I’d like you know I bought my Navitimer very influenced by you and I really love it. Great video. I really enjoy your content. Your channel is honest and that doesn”t have a price!

Hugo is still brilliant 😁. You are the only KZbinr I don't immediately switch off when jewellery is mentioned, you make things I have zero interest in entertaining.
