I did some test runs with this build. I'm quite happy with the damage, but Boltreaver desperately needs resistance against ailments or to the very least against sleep. I had quite a few battles where the enemy put my Astalos to sleep on turn 1, then I had to wake Astalos up on turn 2 or ignore my monster to help my teammate. That's two missed turns already and the enemy can focus the other player while my monster/hunter are unable to do anything. It's not that bad if the enemy monsters are also asleep, but that's not always the case and I can't count on random hunters on my team to have sleep knives or use them on the correct target. That cost me the match quite a few times because my teammate couldn't survive against both enemies on their own. Normally, if the enemies focus the other team member, Astalos should do this: Random attack on turn 1. Azure Voltage on turn 2. Use a skill on turn 3 to knock out one enemy or knock out all enemies with Blue Plasma if he has the kinship. This should cost one enemy team one heart or both enemy teams two hearts each. Use Blue Plasma and knock out the entire enemy team on turn 4 to end the match or use a different skill to knock out one enemy if he used Blue Plasma on turn 3 and doesn't have the kinship to do it again. Either way, in an ideal world, this should cost the final heart and the match should end on turn 4. My hunter pets Astalos for more kinship, uses sleep knives, or does whatever the situation requires. But Astalos can't do that when he's asleep. I'm considering swapping out the rainbow gene for sleep immunity or panacea, then rearrange the position of the genes a bit to keep most of my thunder bingos. I'd lose my strength/speed/technical bingo, but Boltreaver already deals twice the enemy HP or more damage with a crit once he's ready, so it's probably not that much of a problem.

i have an idea but didn't try it yet : put 9 Force / Fire genes on a teostra (with the anjanath gene) Maybe you'll be able to one shot someone just by doing the anjanath move at the beginning of the turn. If you do this on 3 monsties you just swap every time and you just win. (in 2v2 you just do this 3 times with the 2 monsties focusing the same rider and it should be a free win lol) I really need to try this build.

I've played for about 100 hrs and was finally thinking of getting into PvP. I'm a bit hesitant to hop on and get bodied tho. Any words of encouragement, lol?

Take his builds with a grain of salt. The meta right now are Damage-heavy builds, perhaps somewhat due to his influence. Learn your genes and Monstie stats and formulate complex routines to counter the aggressive majority. Having more options is better than just one. My personal prediction is that the PvP scene will gradually evolve into more complex battles than Paradise’s. He still relies on Sleep and one-shots. Damage-heavy builds will be mitigated by specialized defenses and counter techniques that extends its strategy far beyond the ‘Big-number’ play. If you have a reliable partner as dedicated and strategic as you are then it’ll make the 2-2 matches easier. As of right now it’s easy pickings for counter-strategists against the sheep’s and cookie-cutter builds. So don’t rush in, plan ahead and get your builds, tactics and equipment squared away.

@@abdomalik9035 HR monoblos family, HR diablos family, HR brute tigrex (dont know about the regular one check ur monsterpedia it will tell u what it drops) and seregios. what i usually do is go 8th and 9th floor of elders lair and quick finish some of these monsters (u can find white monoblos brute tigrex and seregios), teleport back to the catavan stand and repeat

Hey this is sad to say but please beware I started an SR explore and some lv 99 guy joined. Then when the map started he DC on purpose. He had a lv 1 monstie set and a starter gear. So I couldn't even finish the quest with with AI. This is toxic af.

Had a similar experience however the guy just keep waiting for the timer in battle to end, so each battle lasted like 15 mins, at the end, he finally DC'd but we where fight boltreaver for like 30 mins already

I always save before starting a online multiplayer quest. If I face someone with this behaviour I quit and load my game again without spending the SR ticket.
