All new EV batteries have to be warrantied for a minimum of 8 years! In general they last much longer than that. Appreciate the interview, X. But sadly, nothing in it gives me any hope for the future. That's not your fault, or the Dodge CEO's fault. The blame is squarely on Carlos Tavares. He's destroyed this brand. And hearing Matt repeat the tagline that Tim first said while trying to sell the idea of the EV - "looks like a dodge, drives like a dodge and sounds like a dodge" was pretty disheartening. It may "look/drive/sound" like a Dodge, but it isn't. A Dodge in name only, without a V8 option. They could give us that option. But Carlos Tavares, terrible CEO that he is, just won't "allow" it. There's no excuse for any of this. It's just sad. I would've welcomed an EV option being offered, for those that might want it. But, this trajectory? Nope.

I am done with Dodge. I have been a huge fan and raced a 71 roadrunner but the direction they are going is bankruptcy. They don’t have a clue, they are four years or more behind other manufacturers to bring out an electric model and it will fall flat on its face. It cannot beat the least expensive Tesla, and Dodge says it’s a muscle car. It’s also 30k more than the least expensive Tesla. Then they want an extra 5k for a “frunk”. For other vehicles it’s free. They lost me without the V8.

Focusing on sound when everyone agrees, that’s the worst part of it.

Listening to this I think the Dodge brand had a chance to survive. I hope they figure it out. I’ve owned 2 Chargers over the past 11 years. I’ve loved the cars and hope they make it through this transition.

Racer X, this interview came off like a padded MSNBC reporter interviewing Kamala Harris about the border. This came off like your a PR person for Stellantis. Maybe you get your rocks off with this fake engine noise; most Mopar fans find that repulsive. This rat needed to be cornered & made aware of what the majority of the customer base wants, And, how he’s going to motivate the company to make that happen. Last hurdle; to get the cost down to where the average buyer can afford, not with a 41 year payment plan. This interview was very disappointing piece of fluff.

Why would he agree to do an interview with me if all I was going to do was grill him.. that’s not my style! I asked opened ended questions and by the looks of the other comments.. people were very happy with what I asked and how I asked it!

Dodge needs Tim Kuniskis back, as I do like Matt however Tim is for the role of Dodge better then anyone else I can think of.

Stallantis is too Blame. So glad I bought a 23 scat 6spd. Even if it is slower, it's still more fun

Thank you RacerX for your great interview with the new Dodge CEO. That had to be exciting. Looking foward to the new performance vehicles from Dodge, seeing & hearing them in person, & better yet, test driving them.....especially the high hp/tq Banshee!

I’m curious about the security features. I’m certain bad actors will not want to touch these things, but would love to learn more about that as we get closer. Great interview!!

I went for my dream car the 1965 GTO tri power 4sp beautiful and used your code. X I like the fact you got to sit down with the new CEO. My biggest concerns is Dodge still going to support V8s? It seems like Dodge wants to wash their hands of what made them great. Crate engines, high performance parts there has been no mention of any new stage kits I mean come on there is a hundred thousand V8s out there at least. Matt knows the history hopefully he can read the tea leaves and get this thing turned around.

The V8 is dead he would not mention it.
