Hi Richard - I have the XTC catalog in totality & did see them a few times before they stopped doing shows. Never saw The Undertones & also in a minority who loves The Sin Of Pride album. Relayer is a mediocre album by Yes. New Age guy Patrick Moraz temporarily replaced Rick Wakeman on it.

Hi David, I honestly think Andy Partridge's fear of performing live really did put a huge dent in their success. You were very lucky to see them pre-1982.

Enjoy tour videos Richard , had that White Stripes Greatest Hits but song flow didnt work for me , my advice would be sell it and buy Elephant , their best album

I have Elephant on CD, I agree it probably is their best.

Hi Richard you old rock ' n roller you. I own a copy of Vangelis and his 1975 album Heaven & Hell. It has a track that runs for 21 minutes on it. I like Visage. I like the Undertones and their song Teenage Kicks. From Carl.

Great stuff as always, Richard! Several bands I'm not familiar with in this lot - who the hell is "Wreckless Eric"? Yikes, just the covers...OOOOOKAY....LOL! LOVE Paul Young, I have quite a bit of his stuff, including a comp with music from Streetband and the Q-Tips on it, I think I mentioned that before. Stevie Wonder - WOW! I have his double CD Song Review hits collection which has EVERYTHING on it, including his difficult to find "Stay Gold" from the film "The Outsiders", love that song. Lots of singles, but I don't think I actually own any of his full albums. Never got into XTC much, I know they're always considered an acquired taste by many, but some of their stuff is alright. Love Vangelis, and his stuff with Jon Anderson too...although again, I don't think I have any albums except the Chariots of Fire ST - that was one of those times where I loved the score and absolutely HATED the movie; I need to give it a rewatching, I just may not have gotten it when I was younger. Oh yeah, Wham - of course, love them. And you can keep the White Stripes, although there's a few songs I like, but NOT "Seven Nation Army"...I am so sick of that riff I could scream every time I hear it. Vampire Weekend is good too. Can't wait for the rest of the collection!

Thanks TC. XTC and especially The White Stripes are two bands you really need to be in the mood for.

Hi Richard, I think I've watched all of these videos and if I was to be so bold would say you have about 10% - 20% of purging opportunities there if you are pushed for space. I say that based solely on what you have said like "it's OK", "I've never played this", "it was an add-on" etc...Looking forward to the next section but won't be so rude an offer a comment like this again. Cheers Dale

Part 20! Bloody hell. Has there really been that many. Undertones are way more than just the brilliant Teenage Kicks. When I was younger it broke my brain when I fist discovered that the Feargal Sharkey of A Good Heart was the same bloke as the singer from the Undertones. I have the first 3 Paul Weller records and I don't think he bettered them as far as his solo stuff goes. I love the White Stripes (they're all pretty bluesy😂) , but do not like solo Jack White. Stevie in the early 70's was a genius. How did he go from there to I Just Called To Say I Love You? I only have the 10" of Wreckless Eric too. I couldn't get into XTC after Oranges & Lemons. Dukes are almost my fav thing they did. I'm with you on Yes. It's a no. FZ was a big surprise to see. So I'm not surprised you didn't like it. Odyssey is amazing, but it took me a while before the penny dropped. Cheers...Ben

Thanks for following this series Ben, it is appreciated. Yea, Feargal solo and The Undertones are miles apart... I really must familiarise my self with some of those 70's Stevie albums. If they are half as good as Key of Life, it will be worth it.

@@CookieMusic43 I've really enjoyed it Richard. I like how just when I think I have your number you pull out something I would never have expected. I love the idiosyncrasies of peoples collections. Key Of Life I grew up with. My mum loved it. It's one of the few I agree on with my parents. I think all of those early 70's ones you'll enjoy because you can hear in retrospect how all of those records were the foundation that led him to the brilliant Key Of Life.

Hi Richard, i consider myself a big White Stripes/Jack White fan but even i need to be in the mood to listen to him. Weller??...do you only own the Modern Classics album??? Wham!, i prefer George's solo material over wham but when i want to hear something lighthearted and fun then Wham are up there for sure. XTC, i just dont care for them at all, never have and still dont (but i dont know why??) "innervisions", overrated album IMO so glad you said it was "okay" and not a "masterpiece" like most other people, and i love Motown but i just dont like Stevie Wonder, again, i dont know why!!! Neil Young, that was a WTF moment for sure... "odessey and oracle" would be in my top 10 albums of all time, great stuff IMO... great series of videos mate but i think i missed one somewhere, must go back to see which one - Lloyd
