My question is did you use the electric 4wd solenoid from a newer dodge and how did you build the engine mounts the only reason for asking is I’m going to do It with a common rail engine nice truck and video I can’t wait to see more videos on this truck

I just have a 241dhd transfer case, I have not made any linkage yet for it either lol. Just gotta go under the truck and switch it by hand. Kinda sucks , I have a few things to finish up yet, I cut the engine mounts off the frame and made my own. Also used two of the exhaust side OEM Cummins mounts and just flipped them upside down so it cradles the engine to get it lower

All I had to do was cut the wiper cowl out and go with a different radiator

I have a 2015 f150 with a 5.0 and as a diesel mechanic I want diesel power lol, I wonder if a 6.7 would fit in it, maybe an LML instead

@@Tripp-rr5wk it's not worth it lol, would need to change not only the powertrain but all of the electronics, all of your electrical connectors would be different, you'd have to completely re-wire the harness, it would be a cool project though

Does the 4x4 work in it? How did you beef up the front suspension to handle the extra weight of the engine? Pretty slick build. I’m curious how the frame handles the weight and torque.

What is the tow capabilities of the new swap, and what was the costs?

The engine will out pull what the frame can handle, still just a half ton towing capability as far a suspension and brakes can handle, but dont have to down shift for anything. As far as the cost goes, there is alot of performance parts on this swap, but with just the stock engine figured in and the transmission its around 8k with the purchase of the truck in there also.

Long story short I ended taking the original head back off after installing better studs and had the same issue with compression in the coolant. Ended up having to put one of the pulling trucks head on it .. haven't had time to get another video out yet
