Bro you're about as real as it gets, there are not many KZbinrs who will show the bad side of things when things go wrong. I love how you take the time to explain this & then show how you repair them. Also please tell me those ugly headlights are going to get changed out soon, even the stock ones look better than the ones you have on now.

Been watching your channel for a very long time now. What has always set your content a part from others is the fact that you show the good with the bad and describe the impacts of those highs and lows a similar to what we all go through. Just hearing you start to mull over the idea of getting into a newer truck is super relatable. At some point we all cross the decision threshold of how much longer do we invest time and money into an older vehicle for dependability purposes.

1 of the 1st mods I did was fleece high flow tranny cooler lines. Easy install. I also installed (2) plate and fin derale tranny coolers next to the stock tranny cooler for additional protection. I personally don't believe the new trucks are any more reliable. Upgrade at your own risk. Everything on a vehicle is a wear/tear part. Not exactly a major deal.

I had a trans line on my lbz 2007 leaking . I changed it with a stock one . In my driveway. Thinking I had the clips in right . Started the truck . About a half a minute later it emptied the fluid all over the driveway. Fixed it . The stain is still there . Bone head move . Know your pain. Love my truck!!

Dad's 01 was starting to show signs that the trans cooler lines were leaking. The rad took different metric fittings. Dad got a kit like the ones that you were installing, and none of the fittings would seal. It was an oddball fitting. I finally had to get the metric fitting, and cut a proper shoulder on it on the lathe to make it seal. Major PITA. I had wanted to just get some hose, flare nuts and JIC fittings, cut the steel lines, flare them, and make the hoses to length and use the factory connectors. Dad didn't want to do that. So, it cost 3 runs into the city an hour away to finally get the truck working. A few months later, a buddy of mine had the same issue you had. We did what I had originally wanted to do with dad's truck. We got the parts from the local 'everything industrial' supply store, and I got everything fabbed and into the truck in about 4 hours. I have a hose crimper at home, so it wasn't any kind of issue to buy the fittings and bulk hose, and make it exactly how my buddy wanted it. The factory push connect fittings are so much nicer than the everything screwed in fittings.

I had an ‘06 LBZ with 200k on it that I sold to a guy in Elkton, Md. I spent $5k in chassis parts, just to have a trans cooler line blow off and dump $150 worth of trans fluid in my apartments parking lot. After a very long 5 months, I cut my losses and gave it up.. driving a ‘19 Cummins now, but the paranoia of something breaking is still very real! My advice is to not take a heavy loss like I did. A fresh start will definitely bring lots of new content, but if you can’t do that without selling the LBZ, then it may not be a financially wise move just yet. I’m still very interested in the LMM and 12V builds. A couple of videos on some cool, cheap mods for us blue color guys should keep those builds rolling!

Just shows... LISTEN TO MRS. TRUCKMASTER !!! sometimes you have to check your ego and call the tow truck... and listen to the wife. But you got it fixed, luckily you didn't blow the tranny... gave you a good video and lesson for others ! Shut it down, tow it home and fix it . As for new trucks... they break down too... then you have a 80k truck, large monthly payment and broken truck to boot ! Hang in there Truckmaster and keep it real. Sooooo….. questions. What line kit did you choose? Why did you choose it? What options are out there? My 04.5 LLY is still rocking the factory lines with not a problem…. That said, I am very aware of these issues and feel I also have a ticking time bomb and should proactively deal with with it one of these days… could you go a little deeper into the topic in another video? Or link a previous older one you may have done? Only reason I bring it up is because it is such an issue with these trucks and there are a lot of kits out there. I speak for myself here but I want the right kit one time not a cheap kit a few times. any feedback is greatly appreciated
