Hey guys! Long time no see! I hate to upload two life update GRWMs back to back but with all the chaos going on in the past few days I haven't been able to film much and I already had this video filled a couple days ago so I thought I would go ahead and share it with you guys! I do want to be clear it wasn't the editor themselves who tried to pull on over on me, but the editing website as a whole who tried to scam me out of my money or make me take down my video! I obviously need help with making my videos look better and thats why I sought out a professional but I'm going to have to look into other options now! We will be back to unboxings, product reviews, and other videos soon! Love ya💖

Hire a subscriber!!!! Someone who knows and watches your channel and knows your content. Some times we know our favorite channels the most when it comes to editing style. My sister just dealt with that. From alcohol. She’s doing it again. We’re sending her to rehab. Also go mediterranean, I love it and I go back and forth from that to keto. I’m down 8 lbs. was taking zepbound till all the law suits and illness.

Alexandria, I hope you see this. I am not an attorney, but as someone who handles legal cases and arbitration against insurance companies for a living, I want to give you a bit of guidance for the future: If you are in a dispute, asking to cancel a contract, or asking for a refund, never apologize or frame your wording in a way that sounds like an apology. NEVER qualify your statements with saying or inferring that the issues may be personal preference. Clearly state the issues, item by item. Then politely demand what you think expect to rectify the situation. Do NOT open yourself up to them turning things around on you. Make them aware that you have kept ALL documentation and correspondence, should anyone in management request verification. Lastly, this does not apply in this case, but never conduct business of this sort on the phone. Keep it to email only, certified mail if necessary, and NEVER open yourself up to a he said/she said circumstance. I'm glad you were able to get that handled!!

Great advice. I see she has a natural inclination toward being apologetic and appeasing, but that is the worst thing you can do in these situations.

@BuinidhMoChridheDoAlba yes understandable, but there are ways to look into people, background checks, and through an interview process. Clearly she had a bad experience through a "service" so there are always risks, but I think that it's still a good way to find some help. More than likely she will be helping someone build their resume for bigger jobs in the future. I would do it for a minimal cost if I had the experience. But I've only done one editing project for a class so. I'm probably not the best option.

@Alexandria-Ryan no, lovely. You film a mock video, post the uncut footage to wherever you want to, and then announce to your audience that they can download it and edit it into a video for you and THAT is the job application. You must specify that this video will not be posted, it's only for you and them to see as the interview process for an editor. And it might cost you the same per month, but at least you know you are getting what you pay for. Add in whatever other steps you like to protect your video. Let you dad write up the contract. Be blessed!

Nobody at my doctor's office called me in the last YEAR before my most recent appointment to let me know that my *pacemaker battery* had gone dead. No calls, texts, messages through their portal, nothing. I'm having the battery replaced on Wednesday. Doctors are so adamant we keep them informed of everything, yet some don't want to do the same for us. Anyway, best of luck in finding your new editor, and I'm glad you stood your ground with the service you tried to use. Always advocate for yourself, in any situation, not just medical!

Same thing happened to me with my Neurologist! I happened to call to verify my appointment and found out he "retired" and I couldn't see another doctor at that facility due to non-competes? I mean it's the SAME location! He left, had nothing to do with me quitting. But nope, and then I tried to call around in my area to see if I could get a new doctor, and shocker NO ONE around here will take me because they've been flooded with his other patients. I was like but you are taking new patients right? Yes. But I can't go there because I had a doctor that retired? Correct. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?! Doctor community is WEIRD!

I am nurse and I tell my patients to be an advocate for their healthcare. My husband was having some health problems and would bring them up to his doctor and the doctor would not listen to him. This went on for over 7 months. Finally, I told him to demand for a referral to a specialist. The doctor got mad about it, but did make the referral. Long story short, my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. Had I not had urged him to demand for his referral, his cancer would have gone undiagnosed, and would have progressed to Stage 4 (which has an extremely low survival rate). He is currently on chemo every other week and we are hoping that his CT scan in a few weeks will show no signs of cancer, but will still have another cycle of chemo after this current cycle finishes (for a total of 6 months of chemo). And BTW, he no longer see this doctor and has since changed doctors. Everyone should be screened for colon cancer starting at age 45. More and more people are being diagnosed around age 45. Most symptoms don't start showing up until the cancer has progressed to Stage 3.

This happened to my BIL as well. He was actually a doctor himself, which was all the more shocking. He had bloodwork done, and apparently there were clear signs of leukemia, but the doctor never followed up to give him the results, so he thought everything was fine. He continued to feel tired and "off". Less than 6 months after he married my sister, he went in again for labs because he was exhausted all the time. By then, he was Stage 4 and passed away shortly after.

Fatty liver is common in people with undiagnosed celiac disease. So are all the other symptoms you've listed the reflux, nausea, painful joints, face flushing, rapid weight gain, hair loss, all symptoms I had that led to a diagnoses. Untreated celiac disease also increases your risk of other autoimmune diseases like lupus. When you get the scope get them to take biopsies for celiac. I've been gluten free for 6 months and feel slightly better but it can take month or years to fully heal so giving up gluten for a few weeks often isn't enough to notice a difference. Whatever it is I hope you get answers and can start feeling better.

I was also diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver. Things I’ve done that are sustainable for me are aiming for 30 different fruits/veg/seeds/nuts per week, eliminating over half the added sugars from my diet (not from fruit, refined sugars), found an exercise I actually enjoy (rebounding/mini trampoline), upped lean protein …still attempting to get 100 grams a day (it’s hard for me), added more Whole Foods whole cutting out ultra processed foods. Small changes over time. I started making changes in march. I don’t use a scale, but three inches have come off my waist. June 7th I go back for blood work and a progress report. Wishing you all the best. You’ve got this!

That same primary care doctor issue happened to me too! I had no idea that the doctor I had been referred to was a primary care doctor and going to that doctor would void my primary care with my current doctor. AND my when I showed up to an appointment with the doctor I thought was my primary, her nursing staff was INCREDIBLY rude to me. I was like wait, I’ve received the text reminder, was checked in at the desk and now I have no appointment? The nurse basically told me I was a liar for not knowing the other doctor had just became my primary and told me that I was just “shopping around” for the medicine I wanted. I was just trying to get a b-12 shot because I was incredibly low and couldn’t get it at her office because her schedule was so weird. Turns out I was misdiagnosed by that doctor as it was and I have in fact found out the correct diagnosis (genetic syndrome that she never once considered). So it did work out for the best but doctor things can be so dramatic and hard to navigate.

I... what? Theyre saying you can only see one general practitioner? What??? (To be clear, I believe you. I can't believe someone is saying this but I believe your experience. ❤) I would blow their minds. I have three. Two are in my preferred office. My primary GP, who handles my chronic illness and all its friends. Then also in that office, I've establisbed with a second doctor who has same day appointments open pretty regularly. I see her for urgent stuff that I'd rather not have to go to urgent care for or doesn't rise to that level but also can't wait 2 weeks for my GP to fit me in. And then number 3 is at an alternate office so I can access their "member only" urgent care. I see him once a year to wave hi so he can receive my after visit follow-ups when his urgent care has the shorter time. And what is it with nursea and accusing patients of drug seeking for the most random drugs these days? I got hit with it over a muscle relaxer I hadn't filled in over a year. My friend got it from a nurse for her meloxicam (long acting anti-inflammatory, definitely not addictive or abusable) when she'd been stable on it for 8 years. And now you getting it for B12??? I don't understand. I'm so sorry that happened to you. You deserved better, more compassionate care. I'm glad you were able to get a diagnosis in the end, and hope you're doing well ❤

As a girlie with chronic health issues, IBS included, I completely understand the roller coaster that getting diagnosed/properly diagnosed causes. It took years to get properly diagnosed, and that's still not including any treatment. I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't been suggested that maybe your new meds are contributing to the nausea. For me, with gut issues, if a side effect is nausea, I usually get it. Either way, I'm happy to hear about your journey, I hope everything is smooth sailing from here!😅

You could talk to Charlotte dobre, her editors are fantastic! Also! Don't google lol as a chronically ill and disabled woman and a retired nurse, dont ever google your diagnosis unless its to look for support groups. FLD is less about weight and more genetics also, im over 250lb, I have a mixed diet, an allergy to fructose and I lost the genetic lottery and I don't have FLD, my mother is over 700lb and doesn't have it. It's not just about weight honey, try not to fixate on that. ALSO!!! be very careful taking metoclopromide anti sickness medication!!! People with endometriosis who use metoclopromide can develop hyperprolactinemia and it can affect our pituitary gland, I take it for travel sickness and chronic migraine related nausea and I ended up with prolactin in the 5000s! You also want to check for crohns disease and IBS as these can mimic and also be issues with FLD (comorbidity) im so glad you're getting the right medical help though hun! I respectfully disagree about Google. Research is never a bad thing. If you know something is wrong, but you don't know where to begin, Google can be a jumping off point. Obviously, stick to sites like Mayo Clinic, NIH, and other reputable organizations. Also, look for any diagnostic tests that may be needed. If your doc orders tests that aren't used to diagnose a particular issue, it will do you no good.

I eat a Mediterranean diet as an italian woman. It's absolutely magic. I have a few good indicators for that. When it comes to pasta make sure you make your own sauce rather than buy it pre made. A lot of italian food is based around being partially processed. Like we get tomato sauce at the store but we garnish it ourselves with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic or onion and a other herbs to taste. We also eat loads of veggies. Either baked or boiled. And some meat or a nice slice of salmon in a pan. All I use is white wine, a bit of water, garlic put the salmon on there add salt and pepper then cover it with a lid and flip it over every once in a while on a low heat. Tastes really good. Also the Mediterranean diet is full of good fats. Such as lots of olive oil. Also we use spices to garnish dishes rather than some kind of dip.

I'm an editor, before going to higher education, I used to work at an agency and to me the concept of "unlimited revisions" sounds like a scam lol It is frustrating on both ends when that happens because as a costumer you get in an endless cycle of perfectioning the video and as an editor it is a living nightmare. We used to charge $150 per hr and charge extra after 3 cycles of revisions. Of course color correction and audio are fundamentals and I can't believe how bad that edit turned out, specially when the footage is well shot. Glad you are getting a full refund.

Aliiiii, love you girl. Please please please speak to the dr before going on keto or paleo. Google NEVER yields correct information but you should say exactly to your Dr what you’re saying to us, “I’ve been reading that low fat items have a higher sugar content so doesn’t the liver have to process that sugar which then turns into fat?” Or they meant you need to “cut back” on higher fat items meaning to “lower your fat consumption” bc sometimes drs say shit that they think we understand that we don’t. And no. Keto isn’t a long term thing. We did it for a year (lost 200 lbs between the both of us) but the second Id even smell bread I’d gain weight, lol

Hi!! Not a doctor here so take my word with a grain of salt! As an ultrasound tech in the south I see TONS of fatty livers, usually they’re asymptomatic. It’s still very possible that your gallbladder isn’t functioning properly, even without stones!! A HIDA scan may be beneficial for you to rule out gallbladder disease, your symptoms really do line up with a sick gallbladder! Just something to consider ☺️

I agree see a gi specialist. I work for a GI office and most times Ultrasound doesn't yield any results, but if our patiens are still having symptoms we due a HIDA. Alot of times that shows that the gallbladder is not functioning correctly and it is most likely the cause. Biliary diskinsia is a possibility.

I had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, but my liver is now normal. I did a bit of research and found that the only things that can help it are strenuous exercise and/or 2 cups of good quality coffee daily. I'm disabled so the strenuous exercise was out, but I did the coffee thing and within a year, my liver was normal again. The key is supposed to be drinking the best quality coffee you can afford. Best of luck to you hun.

My advice into Mediterranean diet is, to go to actual Mediterranean restaurants first, try out their bowls and other dishes, and THEN replicate them at home 🥹🏡 to be really honest, I went through my favorite bowls from CAVA and bought the ingredients at Whole Foods, and that made my journey easier. You can do this 💪🏻☺️💛

Hi! Im a student studying my second year in nutrition. Thank you for sharing your experience im sure it must be hard. I wanted to say that reading about what things to eat or not eat on the internet can become a headache and cause further stress. Anyone out there with any metabolic or endocrine disorder should take their time to see a real dietitian or nutritionist so they can get personalized diets. youd be surprized by how much "easier to follow" a dietitians plan is compared to the diets recommended by people on the internet :) dont give up and best of luck!

I'm also on a weight loss journey at the moment. Working out at home with my body weight. Lost a bit already, and I am glad you take your illness seriously. At first it can be a bit daunting to be told 'hey, you have X disease and you have to do X things to get rid of it', in the end if we follow the advice from the doc we will get better. In Germany we have a word for the lack of motivation to finally do something and lose or exercise: the inner pigdog 😅 If you can kick this one in the butt, you can do anything. When I was 26 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Hashimoto's disease is a thyroid disease that has an affect on hair, nails, sleep quality, weight loss and/or gain, joints, digestive system, skin etc. Since I take L-thyroxin I feel a lot better. I hope you will too. Love your videos and your honesty ❤

I think you should look into either Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or Dysautonomia/POTS. Often times someone who has one of these will get misdiagnosed with lupus. And if you're having issues with your joints, EDS is something that could make sense. And the facial flushing could be a Dysautonomia or POTS thing. I have both, and the amount of doctors appointments you've had is very relatable to me.

I'm going to be honest, I edit my own short films. If you're using someone's work, they should be paid. I don't consider it a scam to pay for work you used. $350 for 8 hours of work in NYC isn't wildly out of pocket for a day of editing. Unlimited revisions IS amazing. And it sounds like they did do a day of work. Now, the service is undoubtedly paying that editor $20/hr and pocketing the rest as a middleman. So they could have offered their middleman fees back. That is what I would target in the future. My advice would be to reach out to the local university, and see if a communications or radio/web-tv-film major does editing and can work for you. In fact the advantage of hiring a local would be you sitting next to them and walking it through your decision making once. Would be the least confrontational way to onboard an editor. Also, get really comfortable with detailed instructions or maybe providing a link to your 5 most "Alexandria" videos. As a director, I expect to sit next to my editor working with them hand-in-hand and providing detailed guidance and debate over the choices that get made. especially the first round. You have preferences, but you don't like expressing them and that will never work out in a collaboration. You would not want to turn the tone of your channel over to the editor, and that's kind of what you're expecting if you don't expect to provide a lot of handholding at the beginning. I do think you'd be helped with an editor and I hope you take these comments in the spirit given. I'd like to see you succeed. I love watching your channel and all of this is from a place of love. ETA: I'm not a fan of hiring fans because if they aren't working as an editor, they may not know what's appropriate in the industry. it can lead to exploitation and the influencer will never come out well if accused of exploiting a fan.

@@Alexandria-Ryan I'm glad to hear and you are right with not following a low fat diet (based on medical training back in the 70s) as well as not trying the keto diet as it's can lead to high cholesterol issues in many of those that have followed this approach. Just remember, don't overcomplicate or overthink - difficult to do (I also have ADHD so the struggle is real) and just eat more fruit (has fructose but is high in fibre, antioxidants and vitamins so is essential in any diet), vegies, lean meat, fish and it'll get easier over time and will become second nature (after 4-6 weeks) Good luck Alexandria!

I, too, have NAFLD. I have been off work for over a year from a fall and gained extra pounds because it hurts to exercise when you hurt all over. Also being on a steroid doesn’t help. I literally think of food all the time. Add the extra depression and potential job loss, it just piles on. I decided to cut out sugar first. It took a solid two-three weeks. I felt like I was dying. All enjoyment I had went away. Then I stopped with the complex carbs, like white pasta and breads. Once again, life was joyless. Next intermittent fasting. I’ve lost about 30 pounds and need to lose about 30 more. I’ve started talking to a therapist who believes I have 30 years of job PTSD. It’s amazing how we suppress trauma. My primary care doctor thinks I have fibromyalgia but getting in to see a rheumatologist is practically impossible. I have widespread pain that doesn’t seem to go away. I spend most of my days in bed or at doctor appointments. Something is wrong but finding out what, has been the challenge. Please continue seeking medical care. It’s not all in our heads. We just need answers.
